Job Title : Entry Level Deburr

Position Type : Full-Time

1st & 2nd Shifts Available, 3rd shift is not available.

SUMMARY : Deburr personnel are responsible for performing duties including deburring, sanding, and polishing parts during the Manufacturing process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Using small hand tools to clean up cosmetic issues on parts
• Read and comprehend information on shop job travelers
• Use basic precision measurement tools
• Inspect work in process for machine or manual damage
• Compare estimate times on job travelers to actual times (if you are unable to meet the estimated time on the job traveler, you must notify your supervisor immediately).
• Follow all standardized work procedures and specific instructions given by supervisor
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

OTHER REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals.
• High degree of manual dexterity while using a microscope.
• The use of a microscope is required for up to 8 hours per day.
• Sitting for long period of time up to 8 hours per day.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to support business needs in an English-speaking environment

• Ability to effectively communicate with employees of the organization.
• Ability to understand how their actions may impact other portions of the business.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or General Education Degree (G.E.D.); and / or 1 year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in all areas of the building (manufacturing, inspection, shipping / receiving, and office).

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
