Duties and Responsibilities :

Responsible for assembling multiple product lines including integration of sub-assemblies into the instrument

Execute on multiple production orders and processes within allotted time standards

Provide overall device history record recording, reporting (serial numbers, tools)

Provide basic component testing (pre-assemblies, modules of simple instruments)

Provide assistance and training as required to other operators

Complete any related production activities in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and in accordance with BD's expectations for Safety and Quality

Work or interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning and Purchasing as needed

Complete work activity in the accordance to BD's defined specifications, operating procedures, and company policies.

Must be able to perform standard material handling functions for instrument raw materials and sub-assemblies.

Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment through execution of all housekeeping responsibilities including cleaning, sweeping, organizing to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures

Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures

Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements

Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements :

General education degree (GED) or High School Diploma required

Up to or more than12 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Work experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or industry that complies with GMP is highly preferred.

Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand / fork lifts is preferred

Basic PC navigation such as the ability to enter data into programs / software applications as instructed and use software applications for mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and other job-specific needs is required.

Ability to communicate and effectively work as part of a team is required.

Job Description

Summary :

The Production Lead has responsibility for delivering products, and small orders on schedule. Plans, organizes, and controls combined efforts of supporting functions / resources to support the manufacturing process.

This position will interface with functional departments. Ensures that all products are built with the highest quality possible, and that all processes are correct and performed in a safe manner.

Responsible for leading production products through the line as assigned

Follows production schedules and ensures task are completed on time

Reports schedule and production output

Identifies and helps fulfill the upcoming day’s orders to improve on time delivery

Implements changes to insure a safe, clean, efficient work environment following lean and 5S principals

Ensures assembly personnel stay on task and follow procedures & processes

Consistently removes "roadblocks" for personnel to ensure deliveries

Proactive supports both production, quality, and the materials group to identify and solve issues affecting deliveries

Monitors & determines both process & growth training needs and executes training for assembly personnel as required

Drives documentation changes as required to ensure that process are followed and formally released prior to shipments

Minimum Requirements :
