The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining with us.
Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Servers are expected to have some basic cooking, wine, beer and liquor knowledge.
General Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean and level tables, make sure side stations are stocked.
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen or bar staffs are running out of any items...etc.
- Present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform customers about food preparation details, communicate specific customer needs or allergies to the cooks.
- Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, refill glasses.
- Properly tableside wine service.
- Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, return the change.
- Perform basic cleaning tasks and side-work as needed or directed by supervisor.
- Fill in for absent staff as needed.
- Assist with special events as needed.
- Greet all guests at the door and at the tables warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Understand and can communicate distillery products and processes.
Job Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience :
- 3 years of previous serving experience required.
- Excellent oral communication skills required.
- Positive interpersonal skills required.
- Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
Servsafe alcohol training certification (or equivalent)

Discretion / Independent Judgment :
This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances, as a Server you will be expected to work with guests to ensure satisfaction.
A Server will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and involve a supervisor as previously outlined methods appear unsuccessful.

- Frequent walking with some standing at times.
- Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.
- Frequently lifts / carries up to 25 lbs.
