Job Title : Warehouseperson / Distribution
Hourly Rate : $ increases to $ at 1 year of employment
Shift Premium : 55-cents per hour (afternoons / overnights)
Shift Hours :
3rd shift 3 : 30pm to 12am
Job Summary :
Transports material in the most productive, efficient, accurate, and safe manner with due concern for product quality and condition.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk to personnel and damage to inventory and equipment;
uses equipment to move materials within the plant; replenish pick slots; and stock finished product in the warehouse.
- Demonstrates safe work practices to prevent on the job injuries by following all company and OSHA safety regulations.
- Loads finished product and custom orders on to trailers in the correct sequence and according to loading requirements, while ensuring an accurate piece count.
- Operates a wrapping machine to wrap finished orders; adheres to lockout-tagout procedures; and places proper documentation on pallets, as needed
- Reads truck schedule and follows instructions to determine which materials or trucks to be moved; performs tasks as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Works as a member of the warehouse team by communicating information to coworkers in a timely manner to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Performs daily inspection checks on forklift, such as vehicle condition, charging and or replacing battery, etc.
- Completes accurate inventory transactions in a timely manner, to reflect material movement and inventory status.
- Operates dock plates and dock locks following company procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the warehouse, daily.
- Identifies problems with equipment, product quality, and conveyor system, etc., and takes corrective action.
- Uses care when loading and stacking pallets on trailers to ensure that the product arrives at the customer damage free;
uses dunnage bags, load bars, and load straps, as needed.
- Completes HACCP outbound trailer inspection and reports any deficiencies to supervisor immediately; turns completed paperwork in daily.
- Assists in the training of new Warehouse Workers and ongoing training of current employees, as requested.
- Assists in recouping damaged finished products and transports damaged product to recoup pallet.
- Performs other duties as assigned not an essential function.

Education and Training :
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must learn how to operate the Warehouse Management System
- Candidate must successfully complete a Qualification Checklist
- Onsite training specific to job responsibilities.
- Must possess or obtain forklift certification.

Protective Clothing and Devices :
Many of the job duties of this position require you to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), if so, when and how to use this equipment will be explained to you at the time of hire.
To determine ability to perform job functions where the use of a respirator is required, employees will be given a physical examination prior to performing this type of work.
Responsible for reporting any and all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Responsible for following cGMP’s
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping
Ensure trailers are lean and in good repair for food transportation
Follow all appropriate cleaning procedures

Work Environment :
This position is in a manufacturing plant environment, works around moving mechanical parts, works around motorized vehicles and may be exposed to varying temperatures.

May be required to work at heights up to 30ft off the ground

Job Summary :
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) technician to help maintain and comply with the regulations for our Brooklyn, NY location.
This role is essential for our company to meet established standards and guidelines to ensure our customers receive quality goods and services.

Job Responsibilities :
Complies with all applicable standards such as FDA, relevant CFRs, GFSI, and other applicable customer requirements.
Adheres to HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and other QA plans and required process control procedures to ensure processes, work in progress, raw materials and finished goods meet the specified quality and standards.
Calibrates equipment as per specification.
Approves production codes and labels, performs hourly checks on the production line.
Verifies monitoring of CCPs according to the HACCP plan. Serves as a backup for monitoring the CCPs.
Conducts sample testing (pH, Brix, Organoleptic).
Manages food safety monitoring and verification activities performed by operators.
Utilizes QA SOPs to monitor and verify food safety and QC line checks.
Collects, records and manages QC and food safety documentation in appropriate form.
Assists in the investigation of quality problems and / or food safety issues and recommends solutions for the prevention of re-occurrences.
Minimum Experience : High School Diploma
High School Diploma
2-5 years of food production processes and procedures
Familiarity with Quality Assurance - preferred
Ability to cross-train in other areas of quality
HACCP Certification - preferred
Skill & Abilities :
Possess excellent written communication, and present numerical data effectively
