Position Purpose :
The Powerplant Engineer is responsible for technical standards and reliability of aircraft engines, power-plant, auxiliary power unit (APU) and components.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
Essential Functions :
- Review aircraft reliability data and implement corrective actions via engineering modification and / or repair documents in support of achieving aircraft technical dispatch reliability (TDR) goals.
- Establish build standards and specifications for engines, powerplant, APUs and components
- Develop and issue engineering orders to accomplish major and minor repairs, modifications and alterations to engines, powerplant, components and accessories.
- Develop engineering procedures, standards and process specification to comply with Airworthiness Directives and other regulatory requirements.
- Review Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and other service documents to determine applicability. Perform cost benefit analysis to determine effectiveness of proposed modifications
- Review Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) trend data and implement corrective actions to prevent operational problems.
- Coordinate engineering functions with regulatory agencies as required for approval for major repairs and alterations.
- Evaluate damaged engine parts and provide solutions beyond the applicable manual limitations in accordance with regulatory and original equipment manufacturer requirements
- Identify new technologies that will improve the operational performance and reliability of engines and components.
- Maintains awareness of ETOPS significant systems. Assists the department to ensure ETOPS aircraft continue to meet requirements for configuration, maintenance, and procedures for extended range operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description :
This job is a member of the Training, Engineering, and Quality Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
Position Purpose :
Responsible for supporting a major airline's outsource Heavy Maintenance Providers (HMPs) and requires extensive travel between all HMP locations.
This job is also responsible for overseeing the proper administration of the airline's Quality Control programs including RII, NDT, Major repair reporting, receiving, training and rejection / buy back.

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience :
- 5 years experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul operations of Part 121 air carrier maintenance programs
- Ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience / training
- 5 years experience in the oversight of a Part 145 maintenance programs
- 5 years experience in a supervisor role, overseeing the repair of Part 121 air carrier maintenance programs
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector
- Aircraft Training, Airbus A319 / 320 / 321 / 330, Boeing 737 / 757 / 767 / 777 / 787, Embraer E190
Skills, Licenses & Certifications Required :
- FAA Airframe and Power plant licenses
- Knowledgeable of NDT / Bore score procedures

- Supervises the proper administration of the airline's Quality Control programs including RII, NDT, major repair reporting, receiving, training, and rejection / buy back Audits completed tasks to ensure physical work accomplished matches the provided instructions
- Documents and reports any deficiencies to airline's Sr. Site Manager
- Works directly with other onsite support teams; (Tech / QC Reps, Engineering, Materials) and vendor personnel to ensure all maintenance program requirements are being met and build strong dependable relationships with other supporting departments both internally and at all of the facilities
- Maintains familiarity with airline's contractual arrangement with contract vendor and applicable Airworthiness Agreements.
- Ensures all required reports are generated and distributed to applicable departments in a timely manner.
- Make inputs into the airline's maintenance systems as required.
- Attends vendor production and quality meetings
- Participate on Functional Checks Flights as required.

Structural Mechanic III

Position Purpose :
In a team oriented work environment, under little to no supervision, perform a variety of structural assembly operations using required tools and appropriate prints, specs and operational requirements to complete work assignment, and ensure conformance to specification.
May assist and instruct other team members.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
Essential Functions :
- Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts / assembly meet requirements.
- Possess the proven ability to move to new tasks with only a moderate, short-term impact to established goal hours and schedule.
- Rivet structural members, assemblies and parts using all tools required to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).
Must display the ability to remove fasteners without damaging structures.
- Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets.
- Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
- Instruct and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders; develop methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties and problems.
- Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
- Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
- Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), performs necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S & Lean Initiative Program and complies with all safety regulations.
- Work with little or no supervision.
- May assist / instruct other team members.
- Support Lean Activities.

- Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).
- Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets.
- Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
- Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
