Job Description

  • Strong background in Project Management Principles (Project Planning, Project Requirements, Project Estimating, Resource Management, Scheduling and Controlling, Facilitation, Risk Management, Procurement, Reporting Status, and Change Management)
  • Contributes to project initiation and scope definition
  • Develops and manages the project plan / schedule
  • Tracks progress and adherence to plan for scope, budget, and schedule
  • Develops effective project communication plans and ensures execution
  • Identifies and works to resolve team issues
  • Facilitates change requests to ensure all team members and stakeholders are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
  • Responsible for project deliverables, ensuring they adhere to quality standards
  • Prepares project status reports for Sr. Management and / or PMO, and Stakeholders

We are seeking an Environmental Technician to join our Woburn, MA team!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Candidate will support a wide range of environmental site assessment and remediation projects.
  • Will include field work that requires working independently.
  • May include weekend and 2nd shift work assignments along with regional travel.
  • Perform support functions associated with daily field and office activities including data management and presentation.
  • Performing soil, groundwater, soil gas and indoor air investigations, site assessments
  • Supporting all phases of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, UST and AST management and removal, and stormwater management programs in the field and preparing associated reports.
  • Supporting Emergency Response services, including being on-call to provide oversight support.
  • Position requires a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a team environment and who is proficient working unsupervised.

The candidate should be an innovative problem solver.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA or BS in a related field
  • 2-5 years experience
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER training
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Available for intermittent night and weekend work.

Technical Requirements :

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and PDF compilation software
  • Strong writing skills
  • Familiar with the requirements of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and associated guidance
  • Familiar with ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
  • Familiarity with ENFOS, Massachusetts 21J program, CAD, and / or GIS a plus

Other miscellaneous qualities :

  • 70% travel within eastern New England
  • Opportunities to support project nationwide
  • Telecommuting work schedule negotiable.
