Who we are looking for :
We are currently looking for a Welder - Lead to be based out of Atlanta, GA. Reporting to Welding Supervisor, this person will be responsible for welding aluminum cable trays, as well as providing direction and guidance to other welders in the department.
The ideal candidate will have 3-years welding experience. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is desired.
What you’ll do :
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Direct and provide guidance to other welders in the department
- Perform setup, adjustments and operation of welding machines within the department
- Ability to use basic fabricating tools (i.e. tape measure)
- Interpret drawings and fabricate based off blueprints
- Fabricate per customer requirements adhering to specifications
- Actively participate in Atkore’s safety program
- Cross train in different areas of the shop as required
- Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for performing a wide variety of responsibilities including maintaining inventory, supplies, products, purchasing and coordinating production schedules.
This person will be the plant’s subject matter expert who will facilitate reviewing customer requirements, scheduling shop floor production and procurement of materials to meet schedule and customer requirements.
This person will also ensure inventory accuracy throughout the process by overseeing cycle counts and developing / implementing robust procedures to maintain system accuracy.
This role will lead the tactical efforts towards the achievement of the Strategic Plan objectives, with a strong emphasis on cost reduction.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with inventory, distribution, buyer / purchasing and production manufacturing.

What you’ll do :
- Maintain MRP system integrity and over the processing of purchase orders and production orders as suggested by MRP.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory including transfers, cycle counts, and audits. Support on-time customer delivery and meet inventory turn objectives.
- Coordinate purchasing department to obtain parts ordered for upcoming production.
- Identify and help develop improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operational costs.
- Oversee the solicitation of competitive proposals, evaluates RFQs, prepares sourcing recommendations, creates purchase orders, facilitates changes and expedites POs.
- Reconciles pending invoices and updates master file records as needed.
- Takes ownership and actively maintains proper order processing, inclusive of DoA, GL accuracy, and data entry.
- Participates in strategic sourcing decisions to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
- Outlines MRO purchasing activities for execution by the team.
- Develop and monitor standard costs for raw materials.
- Streamlines processes, improves raw material cycle times, and oversees supplier managed inventories.
- Manages Ad hoc projects and reports to support the development and implementation of MRP systems; manage the databases associated with the procurement modules.
What you’ll bring :
- High school degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with inventory, distribution, buyer / purchasing and production manufacturing. preferred.
- Procurement / Supply Chain negotiating experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Proficient with MS OS and experience with JDE / Oracle strongly preferred.
- Experience with inventory control programs and a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems preferred.

We are currently looking for a Welder A to be based out of Philadelphia, PA. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for welding duties at the facility.
What you’ll do :
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace by following all 5S, Standard Operating and Safety Procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE
- Cross train in different areas of the shop as required

- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to be based out of our newest Regional Distribution Center in the Marietta, GA area.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this person will be responsible for checking drivers in and out to ensure on-time departure of trucks to our customers and manage yard flow to ensure the safety of our employees and over-the-road drivers.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in transportation / logistics / distribution environment. Experience in a lean environment or business system-based company is a plus.
What you’ll do :
- Plan hour-by-hour schedule of all Inbound / Outbound traffic
- Update Warehouse Supervisor and Lead of any late or early arrivals
- Adjust hour-by-hour schedule to minimize downtime and fill empty slots when available; drive efficiencies in dock utilization.
- Communicate with carriers and brokers to get updated ETA of scheduled loads
- Check drivers in and out to make sure dock doors are being utilized effectively
- Manage yard flow to ensure drivers come in and out and a safe manner
- Monitor progress of major shipments to ensure execution to promise dates
- Prepare and maintain necessary distribution documentation for operations
- Facilitate team involvement and commitment to resolving storage, transportation, invoicing and shipping issues
- Ensure policies and procedures are in place to drive effective receipt, handling, storage and distribution of product
- Review and recommend improvements for existing distribution policies and procedures on a routine basis
- Utilize the shipping schedule to maintain a flexible and effective dock schedule by communicating appointments
- Track performance for and work with carriers to ensure required service levels are met
- Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate resolution for both internal and external issues
- Flex into other support roles as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the business
