The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Program Coordinator, shall provide occupational therapy services to students, families, and school personnel.

Services will include student evaluation to determine the necessity for occupational therapy services and the provision of comprehensive services that are educationally related.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students using the District's school-based practice model.
  • Maintain appropriate and required documentation of services to students.
  • Provide required supervision of the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and other program personnel.
  • Develop and provide in-service / training to staff and families, as requested.
  • Supervise occupational therapy students and affiliates, as assigned.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to enable the District to meet Federal, State, and local funding requirements, as well as all other documentation that may be requested by the District from time to time.
  • Maintain all required State licenses as may be required for the performance of his or her duties under this contract.
  • District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned requiring personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • May be required to lift and transfer students and assist with positioning students with physical disabilities.
  • May be required to assist and train staff in feeding students with physical disabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
  • Regular District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying.

AIM has an opening for a Physical Therapist in Texas to provide services in a K-12 school program. Previous school-based experience is a plus;

and candidates must hold a valid PT - Physical Therapy license. We are committed to helping children and families, school leaders, and clinicians achieve success.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

  • Ability to evaluate and treat students, helping them negotiate the school environment, improve school performance and engage with their peers

School Psychologist/LSSP

DESCRIPTION

The School Psychology will work at an assigned location or a set of cases based on their availability and the needs of schools / districts in the area.

They will be supervised by a Director of Evaluation Support and the Case Manager will assign them cases if needed. Depending on the situation, testing kits and protocols will be provided either by AIM or the school / district.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs) or Reviews of Existing Evaluation Data evaluations (REEDs) of students referred for special education placement
  • Participates in the development of individual educational plans (IEPs)
  • Consults with teachers, parents and community agencies concerning intervention strategies for students' learning and behavior difficulties
  • Provides psychological services to identify students within the scope of the LSSP license
  • Participates in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal and (ARD) committee meetings to assist with appropriate placement and development of IEP for students according to district procedures
  • Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required
  • Keep track of hours and submit them through on Quickbooks for AIM
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director(s) of Evaluation Support or other AIM leaders

EXPERIENCE

Experience in child development and psychological assessment for children (0-18 years old)
