As the Sr. Marketing Manager, La Brea Bakery reporting to the Director of Marketing, Artisan Bread your role is to develop strategic business plans and marketing solutions to protect the brand's position as the leader in Artisan Bread.

The focus will be on leading brand marketing with external agencies and retail customer marketing execution. As well, as create long-term strategic plans and thought leadership for the brand across platforms and segments driven by insights that help drive business growth, deliver sustainable growth strategies and tactics, serve as primary liaison to the cross-functional teams, provide guidance on white space innovation opportunities, and provide direction and support to the retail Customer Development teams.

The position requires problem-solving capabilities to understand the omnichannel shopper journey and develop 360 plans that support the brand through the entire lifecycle.

Background in online or offline sales analytics is required. The preferred candidate will also have fundamental shopper insight development skills and a history of triangulating compelling analytics and insights into concise story-telling presentations in support of retail category growth.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the brand portfolio development and long-term food strategy. This includes but is not limited to the analysis of research data, identifying business opportunities, and making recommendations to optimize strategies and tactics.
  • Manage creative and strategy execution development cross-functionally and with all external agencies. Will develop and lead B2C and B2B marketing.
  • Manage the introduction of new foods and continuous improvement of existing foods in collaboration with the Customer Development leads, R&D, and Project Management.
  • Partner with Customer Development leads to provide sales support actions to support the teams in meeting our fiscal objectives.

This includes developing appropriate sales communications for new items and marketing program launches including customer-facing presentation decks, sell sheets, and sales collateral.

  • Develop strategy and execute digital marketing as part of brand planning, development of creative assets, execution in the market, and results measurement and assessment
  • Work directly with agency partners to ensure robust social planning is in place across social channels, staying relevant with current topics and assessing results, and optimizing plans.
  • Work closely with data partners, Nielsen, NPD, Technomic, Mintel, and customer insights to analyze business issues and opportunities for Aspire given the competitive environment, and provide the most up-to-date food category reviews, trends, and insights.
  • Gain a deep understanding of core food categories and brand capabilities across foodservice to develop solutions and promotions to drive business growth in partnership with Customer Development leads, customer finance, and key foodservice customers.

Qualifications :

  • The position requires a Bachelor's degree; marketing preferred
  • 5-7 years of category management experience in the CPG space
  • Demonstrated analytical skills that drive business results
  • Prior experience in Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Sales, Agency, Market Research, Shopper Insights, or Category Management
  • Digital marketing strategy and execution background
  • We need someone who can think strategically, think conceptually as well as have skills around finance and analytics while driving results, selling, and negotiating
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate and work well cross-functionally.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Customer and / or conference travel as needed

  • Responsible for maintaining supplies such as paper products for bathrooms and towel dispensers in all buildings.
  • Oversees storage of all cleaning supplies and disinfects equipment.
  • Works to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager / Director. The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for handling all aspects of order management for distributor customers.

The ideal candidate has a significant role in partnering with and ensuring long-term success with their portfolio of assigned customers.

This position will also connect with key internal stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer experience on behalf of the company.

The qualified candidate has exceptional interpersonal follow-through and analytical skills. In addition, the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities :

  • Ensure our mission of providing world-class customer service to assigned customers is met based on our Customer Centric Strategy.
  • Manage the order process for distributors (order process entails receipt, entry, order confirmation, and shipment verification of orders, including troubleshooting order / delivery issues).
  • Passionately build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships internal and external
  • Work closely with transportation and warehousing to proactively address customer shortages, delivery issues, and OS&D resolution (assist in obtaining customer appointments as needed).
  • Work with planning and distribution regarding inventory and transportation issues for a suitable resolution and communicate with customers.
  • Interact with warehouse customer service contacts to facilitate order fulfillment.
  • Work closely with accounts receivable to manage customer deductions in a timely manner resulting in resolution and permanent solutions to avoid additional deductions where applicable.

Invoice corrections on pricing and pick-up allowance.

  • Work with Channel Directors, Regional Sales Managers, and field sales to collaboratively address customer needs.
  • Effectively handle customer escalations and identify the root causes and section items to reduce and / or eliminate customer issues.
  • Key contact to distributor purchasing contacts.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Identify and grow opportunities with a portfolio of assigned customers to facilitate sales growth.
  • Follow best practices related to customer service skills, order management, and software.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of initiatives on an ongoing basis with management.
  • Filing and maintaining customer files.
  • Research and coordinate product returns and quality issues.
  • Review, address, and meet established daily KPI reports.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Ad hoc projects as requested.

Qualifications :

  • A high school diploma or GED is required. College degree preferred or equivalent coursework or work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience OR related experience in a customer interfacing function
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs and requirements
  • Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain and inventory management principles.
  • Experience in the food and / or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & SAP.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the execution of all assignments from the maintenance department, which entails both scheduled and unscheduled work.

This position requires the efficient deployment of labor, the proper utilization of materials, and the ability to understand customers' needs.

This position will work closely with the Maintenance Planner / Scheduler.

Accountabilities :

  • Meets with appropriate departments involved with weekly production schedules. Generates Maintenance shift schedule based on team meetings, line inspections, preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, work orders, and available resources.
  • Manages contractor work as required and as assigned.
  • Maintains detailed records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
  • Assesses, trains, mentors, and motivates direct reports, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
  • Communicates performance standards and expectations to employees, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Performs root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommends changes.
  • Utilizes the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess progress against objectives.
  • Conducts PM and work order audits.
  • Trains subordinates as needed in CMMS.
  • Coordinates major maintenance and capital projects as they occur across shifts.
  • Maintains plant facilities and grounds in accordance with relevant regulations, company and regulatory standards, and fiscal considerations.
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies and systems and engineering concepts to continually improve plant performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Works to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.

Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.

Requirements :

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
  • Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
