Ascend Medical is hiring a Lead Medical Assistant to serve as a patient advocate and lead a team of Medical Assistants providing virtual care.

The ideal candidate for this position has a Medical Assistant background in internal medicine, psychiatry and / or primary care, as well as experience managing medical clinics and / or nursing staff.

The Lead Medical Assistant will be responsible for organizing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, meeting clinical KPIs, and maintaining a positive work environment.

A successful candidate for this position will be highly organized and professional, and will have the ability to communicate clearly with patients, office staff and other medical professionals.

As a Lead Medical Assistant, you are expected to :

• Evaluate patient charts and coordinate medical records with other clinic staff
• Audit charts and ensure adherence to clinical charting requirements.
• Manage clinical staff by evaluating and implementing work flows, serving as a clinical liaison, and improving clinic outcomes.
• Coordinate with billing, scheduling, and referring physicians.
• Provide support to clinical staff with mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
• Partner with operations to ensure achievement of key initiatives.
• Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure that all patients receive prompt attention

Schedule :

Weekdays : 8am-5pm EST
