Community Relations Specialist
Role accountabilities :
As the Community Relations Specialist, you will design and manage stakeholder engagement and public outreach programs as well as scope and write community involvement plans per regulatory and client requirements.
Other key responsibilities include designing and writing public outreach materials (factsheets, posters, presentations, etc.
and designing and facilitating public meetings and community events (in-person and virtual).
Additional responsibilities include :
- Interface with clients, agencies, organizations, and community members during projects
- Infuse equity into engagement programs and manage environmental justice considerations
- Work to prevent escalation of issues and, as needed, manage crisis communications
- Track engagement and adapt methods to help achieve client and project objectives

Required Qualifications

- Experience in the environmental field, primarily environmental permitting and / or remediation
- Proficiency in writing with technical content and for non-technical public audiences
- Experience as a facilitator and working in consulting or as a consultant
Preferred Qualifications
- Digital skills in the field, including social media, website development, video experience, and related
- Visual communications capability and / or design sense to suggest and develop visual content when an illustration, chart, figure, map, or similar would enhance a public outreach tool
- Experience in risk communications, crisis communications, and / or public health communications
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills, applied with clarity and confidence
Mechanical Engineer
Role accountabilities :
- Be part of design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
- Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost.
- Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
- Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits and collaboration with clients team members.
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, SMACNA, IECC, ANSI, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
- Familiarity with design and modeling of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems using software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Trane Trace).
- Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
- Developing analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Some experience developing solutions to complex projects.
- Familiarity with various system studies (thermal comfort, indoor air quality, humidity control, energy management).
- Support proposal efforts to win design work.
- Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs.

Qualifications & Experience :

Environmental Project Manager
Role accountabilities :
- Managing scope, schedule, staffing, and budget for environmental remediation projects, both large and small scale
- Client and regulatory correspondence and interactions
- Leading teams to evaluate data to support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, delineate the nature and extent of contamination, evaluate and implement remedial alternatives, and modify / optimize remediation and monitoring programs
- Support the Pacific Northwest Incident Response and Recovery (IRR) community in both the field and office
- Support portfolio managers with financial management
- Technical report review and coaching junior staff on technical writing
- Preparing cost estimates and proposals
- Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
- Coordinating work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
- Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
- May require some regional travel for field visits
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelors Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or closely related field
- 6 years of experience in environmental consulting
- Previous project management experience
- Experience working on IRR projects
Preferred Qualifications :
- PE or PG
- Experience working at freight rail and bulk fuel sites

Role description :
Arcadis is seeking an Archaeologist I to support environmental planning projects in the Western United States (Roseville, CA;
San Francisco, CA; San Luis Obispo, CA). This full-time position will require strict adherence to health and safety procedures, a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for high quality workmanship.
A successful candidate will be a key member of Arcadis team supporting linear utility infrastructure in California. This position will primarily be office-based with minimal fieldwork requirements.
Role accountabilities
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Prepare technical analyses and documents
- Conduct Class I cultural background research
- Conduct cultural desktop reviews
- Assist with report writing and preparation
- Collaborate with internal cultural team and external client teams
- Assist with field assessments related to archaeological projects, when required.
- Perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (e.g., rugged and unfamiliar terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).
- The ability to travel overnight to different project locations.
- The ability to walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, as well as carry supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Conduct shovel testing, pedestrian survey, and site documentation.
Required Qualifications :
- At least one year of experience in cultural resources management
- Demonstrated experience conducting archaeological fieldwork
- Strong technical writing and communications skills
- Ability to work with a team including internal staff and external clients
- Basic knowledge of cultural resources management and Section 106
- Basic understanding of cultural resources requirements on federal and state lands (USFS, BLM, NPS, CA State Parks)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Demonstrated experience supervising archaeological field crews
- Masters degree in archaeology or a related field

Civil environmental
Role accountabilities :
- Lead (with PM guidance) the development of engineering designs including design drawings, technical specifications, land development planning, hydraulic modeling / calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design
- Travel (nominally 25%) : assisting in the field with construction, inspections, and participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings
- Work effectively with local, national, and global technical and client teams
- Assist with the development of technical documents and reports, presentations, cost estimates, and proposals
- Work alongside project managers and account leaders to manage project finances
- Coordinate work schedules with colleagues, vendors and subcontractors
