Aprio, LLP is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Public Relations Manager to join their dynamic team. The role will help drive public relations strategy, planning and execution to promote Aprio’s industries and segments leading to increased market awareness and business growth.
Aprio is seeking a curious, innovative, self-motivated and creative communications professional to serve as a strategic trusted external communications advisor to leadership, industry experts and other key stakeholders across the organization.
Success in this role is defined as driving increased local, national and trade press coverage to enhance brand awareness and brand equity.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Media / PR Manager to join our team. The Media / PR Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic media and public relations initiatives that align with our firm-wide (B2B) objectives.
The role will involve creating and maintaining a positive brand image, managing media relations, and promoting the firm's segments and services with a focus on growth and brand positioning.
Position responsibilities :
- Develop integrated external communications strategies focused on key business priorities, and execute strategies and plans across priority campaigns to build Aprio’s brand in the marketplace
- Build and strengthen key media relationships, staying current on relevant news outlets, reporters and their areas of focus;
and proactively pitch Aprio leaders, thought leadership, and client impact stories
- Write and develop press releases and pitches and support leaders in their media interviews with key messages and talking points
- Write and develop speaking engagement pitches for segment professionals
- Drive execution and innovation across all channels of communication, serving as key storyteller utilizing internal and external platforms and analytics tools
Qualifications :
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism
- Proven success in developing and executing external communications strategies and communications plans for a large B2B business, preferably in professional services
- Strong writing skills in a variety of different styles and formats
- Avid consumer of news and the pulse of trends in PR and Aprio’s breadth of specialties
- Experience in developing and executing executive positioning programs, working with senior leaders, and collaborating with marketing team
- Experience in measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Agency experience a plus
