Salary : Range 111 ($14.96 - $20.15)
Additional Professional Growth monies may be awarded for college credit earned past a high school diploma
SUMMARY
Safely transports students and staff to and from school or other activities in a school bus or other district vehicle by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Responsible for safety and conduct of passengers in accordance with State, District, and Department regulations.
Responsible for all District safety procedures including (but not limited to) assisting students and staff as they enter and exit the vehicle.
Ensures bus is in operating condition. Performs daily safety inspection of bus; identifies and reports needed repairs and mechanical problems.
Reports student misbehavior appropriately to parents and documents contact. Prepares disciplinary referrals as needed.
Maintains current route sheets.
Maintains clean bus (interior and exterior).
Regularly view video tapes for operational effectiveness and student conduct.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
Must obtain an unrestricted Commercial Drivers License (No Air Brake Restriction).
Must obtain Passenger and Bus Driver Endorsement.
Must secure a DPS State School Bus Driver Certification.
Must obtain Infant / Child / Adult First Aid & CPR Certification.
Must obtain a DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
RECORDKEEPING and REPORTING
Completes and records pre-trip inspection / data forms consistent with federal / state reporting requirements. Report mechanical defects via computer software application.
Report bus stop safety concerns. Document and report changes to route. Maintain documentation log of student behavior and parent / guardian contact.
Process student conduct referrals as required.
Mechanic repair requests.

SUMMARY
Works under supervision and directs calls to destination, receives visitors, and routes messages to appropriate individuals by performing the following duties.
Assists the Principal or designee as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate official and places outgoing calls.
- Greets all visitor courteously, ascertains nature of business, and conducts visitors to employer or appropriate person.
- Maintains an attractive and comfortable reception area.
- Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer.
- Files correspondence and other records.
- Compiles and types statistical reports.
- Makes copies of correspondence or other printed matter.
- Prepares outgoing mail.
- Calls parents and assists teachers / counselors when necessary.
