AWS Inferentia is Amazon's first custom silicon designed to accelerate deep learning workloads in the cloud. Powered by AWS Neuron, an SDK with infrastructure and profiling tools, enables complex neural net models, created and trained in popular frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNet, to be executed using Inferentia-based Inf1 instances.
We’re hiring software engineers for the Inferentia-accelerated Deep Learning Team to help customers easily migrate their ML applications to Neuron and run high-performance search recommendation, computer vision, speech recognition, personalization, fraud detection, and natural language processing models with Inferentia.
As part of the team, you'll be building highly visible, robust automation tools and to tackle hard to solve problems. Working backwards from customer needs, you will identify the right sets of tools to build to achieve the best quality and customer experience. You will drive test automation efforts for critical and complex technical projects spanning multiple teams and Amazon businesses. You will be responsible for driving improvements in test tools, test environments and reporting mechanisms as well as influence the implementation of the right solutions.
You will also be owning the design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes to help us build the Machine Learning training and inference platforms.

Sr Software Engineer, Graviton Graphics
Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc.
Austin, TX
The AWS Graviton Software team is looking for Sr Software Engineers to drive the optimization of open source and internal Gaming and Rendering applications. Annapurna Labs, part of AWS, designed Graviton as a strategic initiative to improve how software works at Amazon scale. Graviton is Arm-based CPU that delivers better performance, lower price and lower carbon footprint over comparable x86-based instances. Amazon teams like RDS, ElastiCache, and EMR depend on Graviton's unique features, high performance and lower overall cost to deliver products their customers love.
We benchmark and optimize internal and open source software; diagnose and fix operations issues to make sure we have available Graviton instances for customers, and we develop tools and services to measure performance. As a software engineer in the team, you will have the opportunity to lead the innovation and deliver software that powers the world largest cloud provider.
This job is open for at least 3 days/week on-site in Austin, TX; Seattle, WA; Cupertino , CA; Tel Aviv, Israel; or Haifa, Israel.
Key job responsibilities
-This role requires Arm assembly programming experience.
-As an assembly programming engineer, you will work on improving the arm software by rewriting or optimizing the existing libraries to deliver the best performance on Graviton CPUs.
-You will get an opportunity to work across Gaming, Rendering engines, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing and several generic libraries.
-If you are already an open source developer or passionate about it, you will be able to continue your passion and contribute back to the community across all those projects.
-In this role you will use and further develop your deep knowledge in areas including design, implementation, and data analysis.
-You will have the opportunity to understand and improve how AWS delivers on one of the most important shifts at the core of the data center: our migration to Arm applications.
