Summary In this role you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and assessing executive talent for our senior executive positions across the medical center.
Promoting visibility and brand awareness in various verticals in partnership with senior leadership. Establishing an outstanding candidate experience with defined process and outcomes is critical for success. Essential Job Functions
- Apply industry expertise in market research and in continuous development of recruiting leads by using and documenting process and work in ATS (Workday).
- Manage, in collaboration with executive leadership, the full search process including screen potential candidates by reviewing resumes and applications, conducting initial interviews, completing background and references, assessments and other approved measures, advise and complete the offer process including offer presentation and follow-upcorrespondence.
- Provide consultation / guidance and accountability for all hiring managers to ensure a consistent, high-quality process is followed.
Make recommendations of the best qualified candidates and assist with final decision process while working to identifies opportunities to foster diversityinitiatives throughout the search process.
- When needed, initiate, and manage relationship with executive search firms or other placement or research firm by developing and maintaining a highly qualified talent pipeline.
- Works in supports of talent management strategies that facilitates organizational and individual performance, fosters recognition and growth opportunity for high performing leaders through referrals to the leadershipdevelopment programs.
- Extract and compile data for recruitment metrics and reporting with functional scorecard as key measurement of success
- Comply with employment laws and regulations in all recruitment and hiring activities

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Human Resources Management, or related area. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 10 years of search experience at a senior leadership preferably in healthcare with 5+ years’ experience in external search firm attracting andnurturing a talent pipeline.
- Proven experience in completing a full recruitment lifecycle process including talent onboarding.
- Experience from an in-house search team and the delivery of retained executive search in an agency would be beneficial.
- Proven experience in managing branding and activities related toattraction of talent
- Strong computer skills in an applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred) and CRM, Microsoft Office and an in-depth knowledge of socialmedia sourcing strategies.
- Strong project management skills, capable of developing and executing upon thoughtful project / recruiting strategies and adapting those asrequired,
- A truly engaging and passionate person with the ability to establish an executive presence with rapport, and develop trusted relationships, both with internal and external leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This is a hybrid position with onsite requirements in our Chicago, IL office.

Dir Environmental Safety
Description
Oversee all aspects of the Medical Center’s environmental health and safety program. This includes setting policy, managing staff, and developing new programs and initiatives.
Oversees compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and accrediting groups specific to the Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety Code.
Serves as the Environmental Safety Officer for the Medical Center. This position actively collaborates with the organization’s quality improvement program, corporate compliance program, and the patient safety program. Essential Job Functions :
- Oversees organizational compliance with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations, Joint Commission and CAP standards, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws, regulations, and standards that impact the Medical Center.
- Chairs the Environmental Health and Safety Committee.
- Develops and manages policies and procedures related to the EOC and life safety in the workplace.
- Coordinates a multi-disciplinary team for weekly Environmental Tours including efforts to mitigate risk. Maintains documentation of actions taken.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs and policies to reduce the risk of injury or illness in the workplace.
- Review employee accident reports and medical claims to evaluate the need for potential changes to current policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with Facility Services and Infection Prevention & Control in the interim life safety program for the Medical Center.
- Conducts risk assessments of work sites to identify potential hazards and formulate plans to mitigate them.
- Authority to hire, separate, promote, demote, write, and administer performance appraisals.
- Other job functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, safety management, nursing or industrial hygiene, or a health-related discipline.
A combination of education and / or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experiences have been directly related to the duties of the job.
- Five years’ experience as a safety manager / officer / director, or a related medical field required.
- Minimum of three years previous management experience and excellent leadership qualities required, preferably hospital based.
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
- Must be someone that is very observant and pays keen attention to details at all times.
- Relevant safety certification, e.g., Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) must be obtained within one year of hire
- Thorough knowledge of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Occupational Safety Healthcare Administration (OSHA), Joint Commission (JC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Must be able to manage in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to advise management staff on environmental safety and workplace safety issues.

Security Officer
Description
1. Enforce the policies and procedures of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, to serve as a source of authority for enforcing Medical Center policies, guidelines, and procedures.
2. Perform on-foot patrols of Medical Center campuses as directed by the Director of Security or his / her designate. Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections;
look for violations of the Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA and local Fire Code safety violations. Maintain constant communications with the Security Control Center.
3. Assist clinical staff with psychiatric patient restraint; monitor and physically mitigating combative or potentially combative patients as directed, escort patients during clinical transport, and perform direct patient observation of patients under medical or psychiatric restrictions.
4. Perform emergency response that includes but is not limited to immediate response to distress calls, panic alarms and emergency calls, fire and disaster response, and support Medical Center Emergency conditions and codes such as bomb threats, patient abduction and elopement, response to weapons on campus, armed intruders, weather emergencies, utility or equipment failure, hazardous material issue, or other emergency as directed.
5. Physical intervention for the removal of unauthorized persons from hospital property, intervention of disruptive adults, combative patients, and the detention of individuals suspected of criminal acts, being under-the-influence of alcohol or drugs, disorderly conduct, mental instability or other issues for law enforcement intervention.
6. Perform locks or unlocks specified entrances / exits.
7. Perform access control duties at assigned security posts. Ensure that only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises;
confront unauthorized persons for questions, routing or detainment appropriate to the circumstance.
8. Perform Security Control room dispatching by utilizing Computer-Aided-Dispatch systems, monitoring closed circuit television (CCTV), two-way radio transmissions, alarm consoles, and receiving customer phone calls to dispatch security Officers and perform other Dispatcher-related duties.
9. Utilize computer-based incident report software to complete reports, maintain records and assist the department with data collection.
10. Appear in court on behalf of the Medical Center to enforce prosecution of individuals for assault, criminal trespass, or other issue as required.
11. Direct traffic on Medical Center property and control parking of all patients, parents, visitors and employees. Enforce hospital parking guidelines for visitors, contractors and employees.
12. Act as a resource of information for patients, parents, visitors and employees. Escort patients, parents, visitors and employees to and from parking areas as needed.
13. Secure lost and found articles; maintains logs of items received.
14. Enhance personal professional growth and maintain currency in the security field through voluntary participation in educational programs and review of current literature, as well as contributing to mandated departmental in-service meetings and training sessions.
15. When required, operate the hospital shuttle vehicle to transport parents, visitors and staff in a safe manner while complying with all traffic laws.
16. Actively and consistently demonstrate customer service values / goals of Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center in all interactions with others.
17. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Minimum of one year security experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
3. Valid Driver's License required.
4. International Association for Hospital Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic training certification is required to be completed within six months of hire.
5. Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to read, write and comprehend the English language well.
6. Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Windows-based software applications as well as the having the ability to type.
7. Must have excellent customer service skills.
