The Marketing Manager will write, build, and disseminate marketing emails; edit marketing copy and work with other teams to create multichannel plans for products, services, and other initiatives developed by key areas of the College, including Education, Membership, Quality, Cancer Programs, Trauma, Advocacy, and the Foundation;
and assist with survey development, dissemination, and analysis.
This exempt position will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Analytics in the Division of Integrated Communications.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Write marketing copy and create other assigned promotional materials, adhering to timelines, monitoring each campaign's effectiveness, and recommending changes to future campaigns.
- Create a best-in-class experience throughout all phases of an email program including : writing copy, building emails, developing automated campaigns, segmenting lists, testing, quality assurance, launching emails, and reporting using our marketing automation system, Marketo.
- Collaborate with the Creative, Social, and Web Content teams to create strategic, multichannel marketing plans that include general and targeted initiatives.
- Assist with survey development, dissemination, and analysis.
- Identify new opportunities for automated and behavior-based email campaigns targeting current and prospective members at all points in their life-cycle.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and / or Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline required.
- Adobe Marketo Engage certification preferred.
- 2+ years of related marketing experience is strongly preferred.
- Adobe Marketo Engage or similar marketing automation experience, along with copywriting, editing and HTML experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), survey tools, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organization.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical / Work Environment : Fast paced with significant people interaction. No lifting over 20 pounds, minimal reaching bending and stooping.
Performs work in a normal office environment with long hours in front of the computer.
Other Necessary Requirements : Minimal travel for activities such as out of town meetings may be required.

Summary : The Visual Designer is an individual contributor who will play a key role in designing and developing digital and print graphic elements and developing eLearning modules for trauma education programs.
This position will work collaboratively with the internal team and external partners to design / develop innovative and engaging content.
Working with content experts, this position will create a portfolio of coursework that includes effective visual communication to support adult learners in acquiring and maintaining knowledge, skills, and abilities in the surgical care of the injured patient.
This exempt position will report to the Instructional Design Manager, Trauma Education in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care.
It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role : 3 days per week in the office / 2 days per week remote.
Responsibilities :
Online Course Development : Create visually engaging, innovative, and functional digital projects (including concepts, artwork and layouts), based on creative briefs and subject matter expert meetings this includes creating look books / templates for eLearning products and digital resources that meet learning needs, e.
g., toolkits, infographics, etc. Create interactive elements, animations, etc. for eLearning products. Interpret storyboards to tell visual stories that support learning.
- Strategic Responsibility : Serve as the Trauma Education team’s expert in visual communication. This includes providing input on the future creative direction of trauma education products.
- Business Development : Support the Instructional Designer Manager in promoting courses / resources and building brand awareness by working on marketing materials, presentation materials, and interactive event materials.
- Team Support : Document and communicate standard operating procedures. Work collaboratively with the Education Design & Development team, which includes 2 Instructional Designers, a Mobile App Program Manager, and a Project Coordinator.
- Innovation : Investigate innovative uses of technology for creating, maintaining, and deploying learning experiences. Seek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance.
Pursue and welcome evolution of responsibilities and growth in position. Stay current in the latest standards, changes, and trends in the visual design field.
Required Education and / or Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required; graduate certificate or degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Education, or Graphic Design preferred.
- At least 2-4 years of related experience in Graphic Design and / or eLearning Development is preferred; must be able to provide a portfolio highlighting work product.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required.
- Experience with video and audio editing software and Articulate 360 preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
