Job purpose

Alpine Air is currently seeking a Simulator Instructor located in Denver, Colorado. The Simulator Instructor is responsible for the accomplishment of ground-based, and / or aircrew training devices (ATD) training of aircraft crew members.

Candidates must meet our high standard of excellence for safety, piloting skills, crew resource management skills, and customer relations.

Candidates must have strong professional interpersonal skills and a team player attitude. Duties and responsibilities The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties :

  • Executing the approved pilot training syllabus through simulator training
  • Instructing and measuring training progress of crewmember students who train in the established aircrew training curriculum / ATDs
  • Providing inputs and courseware corrections and modifications to update training policies and procedures, and assisting in projects and development work as assigned
  • Performing administrative and collateral duties relative to training such as : record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, training development, and maintenance of training programs.
  • Operating in accordance with applicable regulations and corporate policies and procedures
  • Practicing safety and customer service
  • Must have professional communications skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications

Qualifications General qualifications include :

  • Must possess commercial pilot certificate
  • Must possess FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Must meet 135 pilot requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135
  • High level knowledge of FAA regulations and guidance
  • Ability to complete training program; demonstrating proficiency with job requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must read, write, and understand English
  • Professional communication skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications
  • High school diploma required; BS / BA preferred
  • Required to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and have resided in the U.S. for 4.5 of the past 5 years

Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electronic systems, and is potentially exposed to industrial hydraulic fluids.

Work for this position is performed in a classroom setting and in simulator equipment enclosed in an indoor facility, regardless of weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low. Compensation This position is a Full-Time position. Benefits include generous Paid Time Off, eleven (11) paid holidays per year, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance are available immediately upon employment.

Alpine also offers a 401(k) plan with a generous employer match. In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this position is $100,000 annually.
