SEO Strategist
Remote-based position
As an SEO Strategist with Advance Local , you'll be responsible for creating, managing and analyzing custom SEO strategies for our highest-level clients.
The position will perform on-site and off-site audits and strategy development for clients in support of our local market clients.
Additionally, this role supports both the pre-sales analysis and the ongoing fulfillment of our SEO program. Employee must be passionate about SEO and be genuinely interested in keeping abreast of the latest changes in the space in order to learn and execute successful SEO strategies.
The employee should have a desire and flair for discussing and explaining SEO and have the ability to make the complicated simple to understand.
What you will be doing :
- Creating, managing and analyzing custom SEO strategies for our highest-level clients
- Supporting both the pre-sales analysis and the ongoing fulfillment of our SEO program
- Assisting peers in their understanding of strategy analysis and development
- Achieving established KPIs
- Monitoring campaign delivery and pacing by proactively ensuring campaigns are performing to set standards and benchmarks.
- Conduct keyword and SEO research to understand customers' needs
- Perform extensive research to gain in-depth knowledge of potential queries customers use as well as trend analysis
- Strategizing content pillars and sub pillars
- Planning the content strategy calendar
Our ideal candidate will have the following :
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in SEO Strategy building experience (Agency environment preferred)
- Proven record in analyzing campaign data, deriving actionable insights and acting on performance data, quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Ability to take ownership of account strategies and clearly communicate with the client
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working within deadlines
- Google Analytics Certified
- Experience with 3rd party optimization tools (i.e. Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog, ahrefs, SiteBulb, SEMRush, MarketMuse, Clearscope, Frase, AlsoAsked, etc.)
Sr. Social Media Producer

Advance Local is eager to welcome a Senior Social Media Producer to our team , just in time for the launch of our brand-new website this summer.
This position will play a crucial role in expanding our audience rapidly, utilizing both established and emerging social media platforms to elevate our brand, foster relationships with a diverse readership, and tailor our reporting to resonate deeply with our audience.
We are excited to explore innovative approaches to social media. We aim to move beyond the confines of established platforms like Facebook and Twitter and seek to engage our audience through inventive methods such as vertical video, social cards, animations, direct interactions, and other interactive features.
We're seeking an experienced Social Media Producer who will collaborate with our reporters and editors to produce content that is not just entertaining and informative, but also genuinely representative of the diverse and authentic Texan community.
What you'll be doing :
- Take a hands-on role in producing social media programming : including overall strategy, assisting with day-to-day posting, community management, editing and optimization of content on multiple social platforms
- Source user-generated content that engages our community
- Build creative assets and create vertical video, social cards and copy for various social platforms
- Engage the community by creating interactive post ideas and responding to comments and messages on social media
- Create multimedia content, including shooting videos and photos, and writing crisp and captivating copy Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and emerging platforms
- As a pivotal partner to our newsroom, help reporters and editors stay attuned to the trending conversations on platforms like Reddit, offering guidance on community engagement, and confidently delivering breaking news on social networks
Our ideal candidates will have the following :
- Three or more years’ experience in the social media industry for a brand or media publication
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related degree is a plus, but not required
- Ability to create awesome social graphics and vertical videos using Canva, Adobe Spark or your tool of choice
- An empathetic eye for finding interesting stories on social media
- Ability to write accurate, clean, creative, and engaging copy
- Strong editorial judgment with the ability to create content for fun stories, as well as serious breaking news
- Familiarity with social publishing and listening tools like Social News Desk, Dash Hudson and NewsWhip
- Comfort in front of the camera hosting live broadcasts on Facebook and Instagram from events and chatting with viewers about news events
- Good understanding of social media analytics and experience optimizing content

Data Scientist

Engaging with teams across the organization, you’ll help build and launch data products and solutions - from identifying problems, to defining and structuring data, to developing use-cases, to analyzing results.
You’ll create a process around storing and cleaning data, designing models and algorithms, applying machine learning, and introducing and implementing exploratory techniques.
For this position we’re looking for candidates with :
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or another quantitative field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on using disparate data sources
- Experience using statistics, propensity model building, and algorithms to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Experience working with and creating data sets
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages / drawbacks to recommend business-growth campaigns
In this role you will :
- Drive business results with data-based models, analysis and insights, working with stakeholders from departments including consumer revenue, product, content, advertising and analytics to improve business outcomes using and developing a new integrated data platform as well as the customer data platform and using tools and techniques.
- Build and implement models, use and create algorithms to apply to data sets and run simulations.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes and campaign effectiveness.
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of marketing techniques, business strategies and sales tactics.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, sales targeting and other business outcomes.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Develop materials presentations, communications, reports, etc. to explain findings.
