Summary :

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Security Guard in Safety department of Rice Mill.

Job Responsibilities :

Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Monitor activity in the facility- trucks entering and leaving, traffic flow of shipping containers, location vehicles (trucks and forklifts), visitors, etc.
  • Ensure the security of the facility- gates locked when needed, driveways clear
  • Ensure compliance with safety and food safety policies- addressing colleagues directly for violations such as not wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment, unsafe equipment operation, etc.
  • Monitor alarm system including fire protection system function and troubleshoot as needed
  • Report violations and safety concerns to corresponding Lead person or supervisor and to safety supervisor
  • Fill propane tanks for forklifts
  • Write reports of activity on shift, any incidents that occur- in a descriptive and objective form
  • Perform walkthroughs of facility, attending to unsafe issues as they arise
  • Maintain keys for and provide access to locked areas of equipment storage, other limited access areas for colleagues
  • Maintain neat and clean work station
  • Perform miscellaneous assignments as instructed by security supervisor
  • Communicate well with colleagues / Management efficiently
  • Ensuring safe operations
  • Enforcement of all ADM policies and procedures

Major Accountabilities :

  • Learn the operator roles and responsibilities and SOPs specific to the assigned area and equipment.
  • Complete all required batch records and forms in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Operate assigned equipment in a safe, productive and timely manner.
  • Weigh, count, document and verify raw materials used in the assigned production area.

Summary

This is an entry-level position which will be in a union workforce. You will gain knowledge of the facility, general department knowledge, and handle tasks through completion of tasks and look for ways to improve the process and personal performance.

Production Specialists are expected to perform a variety of jobs, tasks or duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions :

Maintain, monitor and adjust equipment

Utilize computer systems to input and record data as required in regard to safety, sanitation, maintenance and processing equipment operation

Work in a fast-paced environment to complete various processes including weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, labeling, and storing products and sanitizing around facility (sweeping, compressed air cleaning)

Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment

Communicate with team / shift employees concerning proper operation of equipment, changes in flow rates or processing capabilities safety concerns, product quality issues and maintenance issues

Rotate through all positions within a specified department to train associates and fill in as necessary

Operate forklifts

Understand and adhere to ADM's Safety, Environmental Compliance and Food Quality and goal of achieving a zero-injury culture.

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Exhibit regular and prompt attendance and maintain attendance record in accordance with company policy

Must be able to work around noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels and require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift

Company provided protective clothing required : Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves and safety harness may be required based on task performed;

employees are required to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) (i.e., hard-hats, safety glasses, earplugs, uniforms, and steel-toed boots) in addition to job specific PPE requirements.

Employees in roles that require respirators will need to be clean shaven.

Summary :

Job Responsibilities :

  • Possesses knowledge of detailed electrical schematics, drawings and blueprints required to assemble or repair electrical equipment, as required

  • Monitors plant motors and starters, checking for hot spots, and completing required reports
  • May participate in on call rotation in the event of electrical problems occurring on alternate shifts

  • Selects, installs and pulls wiring to required equipment locations, making connections, testing circuitry and performing related installation processes
