Job Description

In this role, the Production Director is responsible for the overall management and final delivery of print and digital products as well as collaborating with developers on website builds and launches You will effectively lead, coach and mentor to accomplish operational objectives.

You are responsible for producing final deliverables of the highest possible production quality. You act as digital producer to interact with project managers and liaise with developers.

You will oversee production artists and QA Experts in print and digital, developers and interact with project managers on a daily basis to ensure projects are executed to their specifications, are of high quality, on schedule and within budget.

Skills and Criteria :

  • Familiar with HTML / CSS / JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Sass, HTML5, CSS3, WordPress, Drupal
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience as a team member on web server and network technologies
  • Conversant on the range of corporate IT practices and technologies pertaining to websites
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Strong presentation / negotiation skills to deliver best practice recommendations to clients
  • Meticulously organized
  • Excellent at multi-tasking under pressure

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the operations of the Production Studio and oversee all studio print and digital output.
  • Provide leadership to all teams consisting of production artists, print production, digital, traffic, design, proofreading, QA / QC and external vendors
  • Manage the development of retouching and Digital Production QA / QC department
  • Develop and maintain studio procedures and best practices
  • Partner with IT in researching and updating hardware and software systems
  • Ensure the internal routing process follows Studio procedures
  • Review all schedules and track timelines while being deadline conscious
  • Work with Senior Management to create and maintain systems, procedures, standards and measurements; build a strong relationship with internal / external clients;

and troubleshot specific job and departmental issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in a production studio, deadline-driven environment
  • Extensive experience with project management systems
  • Seasoned team player with the ability to work effectively with senior management, designers, project managers and developers

Comp and benefits :

  • Excellent starting salary between 121-142k annually
