
Sanitation manager

An established industrial cleaning company based in Brooklyn, NY, is looking for a sanitation manager to over see their growing services.
The candidate will manage a team of 15 cleaners and oversee their scheduling, performance, and all necessary tasks to operate the company successfully.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the cleaning designated areas (Sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom cleaning, etc.) drains should be cleared at buildings, lightbulbs should work, office and buildings should have the correct air freshener.
- Inspect the cleaning supplies to make sure they are up to company standards
- Oversee the execution of minor repairs.
- Document inspections / repairs
- Plan and oversee all cleaning and repairs needed for various sites.
- Coach, mentor, and train new employees
- Manage employee shifts and callouts.
- Follow all regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Be on top of employee to re-stock supply rooms and keep the room and supplies organized.
- Make sure all employees wear a clean uniform that upholds to company’s policy
- Communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Hire new employees.
- Take estimates at new locations.
- Additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements :
- Previous working experience as a Janitor / Cleaner Manager for 1-2 year(s)
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization practices
- High school diploma
- Flexible schedule
- Speak English and Spanish
Salary : $60K-$65K plus gas compensation
