Production Manager
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead plant personnel and provide direction in operations area to produce the best quality product possible, at the least cost standards.
Coordinate the availability of raw materials; ensure the functioning of production machinery is adequate to meet production demands.
Develop, trains and schedules necessary personnel to meet all production demands. Partner with HR for personnel issues, including interviews, hiring, evaluations, corrective counseling, and further training.
You Will :
- Responsible for food safety and quality.
- Manage production line management to ensure product is produced according to Company specifications and meet production, usage, and labor goals.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the plant production areas.
- Assure work force is trained in job requirements.
- Ensure flow of important information to all levels and shifts of plant management.
- Monitor correct ingredient usage at plant standards while maintaining quality goals and controlling cost.
- Coordinate production requirements with maintenance and engineering to ensure plant goals are obtained.
- Promote continuous improvement in production process to improve safety, cost effectiveness, and product quality.
- Assume to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Follow all safety procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
- Follow safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Share main metrics with supervisors to promote continuous improvement.
- Interface with Human Resources.
You Have :
- B. S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or related field from a four-year college or university
- 4+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the food industry
