Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. Other responsibilities include: preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.

Measurement Specialist, Flooring (Part-time)

Position Purpose:
The Measurement Specialist, Flooring travels to customers homes to perform in-home flooring measurements. The Measurement Specialist is directly responsible for providing a positive customer experience, enter accurate measurements and transmitting measurements by a measurement tablet. The Measurement Specialist's role works independently in the field and provides quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence customer service. This position is directly responsible for creating, maintaining and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers to complete in-home flooring measurements and coordinating with the Home Depot Measurement Services Center. 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Responsibilities:
  • 90% Customer Service - Providing customer service by assessing customer needs and conducting in-home flooring measurements.
  • 10% Drawing Review - Review and edit of floor drawings in the measurement tablet

  • This Position typically reports to Assistant Market Manager

Environment Job Requirements:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion including but not limited to lifting, bending, squatting within the customer's home.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Years of Work Experience: Less than 1 year of experience 

Preferred Experience: 
  • Previous customer service, retail, flooring knowledge (carpet, tile, wood, vinyl, laminate etc.), flooring installer, flooring estimator or home improvement experience is a plus but not required.  
Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Skilled at consistently providing outstanding customer service, following through on responsibilities to customers and recovering from any errors made.

Merchandising Service Associate - Plant Service

Customer Service

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs

  • Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications

  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time)

Although a majority of time of time will be spent in activities that do not involve the direct interaction with customers, the individual in this role is expected to engage with customers when the opportunity arises. This includes:

  • Understands customers’ needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise

  • Engage with customers to understand his/her needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise

  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary

  • Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs

  • Merchandises to plantogram, price, color block and places plants as they arrive

  • Fills plant racks onto plant tables per plantogram to grand opening ready standards

  • Identifies damaged or missing signage, displays, and collateral and orders replacements in accordance with merchandising standards and plantogram details

  • Updates/validates wayfinding and product location signage as well as digital maintenance of this information throughout the store

  • Ensures cross merchandise, side stack products, j-hooks and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately, helping to drive add-on sales

  • Assists with culling and pricing dead and distressed plants

  • Maintain a high level of communication and partnership with manager and red vest associates

  • Identify and communicate issues with quality, quantity and additional needs to Red Vest Outside Garden Manager and MSM

  • Adjusts fixtures, rotates stock, and displays products and support materials using power equipment (e.g., lifts, order pickers) per service expectations and processes

Clean and Safe Stores

  • Reviews, completes, and enters completion details (when, what, amount of time spent, taking and uploading photographs to confirm servicing completion, etc.) for all assigned service and maintenance tasks

  • Ensures all displays are safe and in working order and repaired/replaced as needed

  • Repairs/seals damaged packaging and boxes including peg-hook items

  • Removes all trash, moves cardboard boxes to the bailer and moves plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor

  • Replaces light bulbs and alerts the appropriate contact when additional maintenance issues are noted (lights out, painting, etc.)

  • Detects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection

  • Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of Outside Garden and working areas

  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates

  • Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices

  • Operates store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler)

  • In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)

  • Ability to work overnight and weekends

  • Ability to utilize web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education Level: High School or GED

  • Working knowledge of basic tools needed for the job (e.g., hand tools, drills, saws)

  • 6 Months Live nursery experience or Lowe's sales floor experience

  • 6 Months Experience performing product merchandising tasks including reading plantograms, setting up and tearing down displays

  • 3 Months Experience operating power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment

  • Working knowledge of basic tools needed for the job (e.g., hand tools, drills, saws)

What You Will Do
All Lowe’s associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products customers need. As a Customer Service Associate/Loader, this means:
• Being friendly, professional, and engaging customers to help answer questions.
• Retrieving, loading, and replenishing merchandise.
• Helping customers and staff move merchandise safely.
The Customer Service Associate/Loader assists customers by loading merchandise into their vehicles. The Customer Service Associate/Loader also replenishes shelves for the next customers. Safety is critical because this associate lifts and moves merchandise for staff and customers frequently throughout his/her shift.
Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.

What We're Looking For
• Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.
• Requires morning, afternoon and evening availability any day of the week.

What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Preferred Qualifications
• 6 months retail experience.
• 6 months experience as a Loader at any home improvement or hardware retailer.
• 6 months experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.
• 6 months retail merchandising experience, including performing Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping.
• 6 months experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.
