Position Summary :
The warehouse associate is responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as processing order, picking, and processing orders and operating heavy-duty equipment such as forklifts.

Qualifications :

Truck driver
As a Truck Driver in the Army National Guard, you are the backbone of military support. By transporting cargo and supplies, you’ll play an integral role in keeping the Guard moving forward.
In this role, you will operate all wheeled vehicles and equipment over various terrain and roadways; manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported;

What you will do day-to-day :
- Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and safety regulations
- Perform pre / post trip inspections on equipment and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness

- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, operate a school bus to transport students safely and efficiently to an assigned location using designated routes and according to specified time schedules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Any combination equivalent to : sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above, such as a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months experience in operating a school bus.
School bus certificate must be transit certified. LICENSES ANDOTHER REQUIREMENTS : A valid California Motor Vehicle License of the Class A or B (including airbrakes, school bus and passenger endorsement), and a valid California Special Driver's Certificate forSchool Bus (DL45);
as well as a safe driving record. Possession of a current Red Cross First-Aid Certificate,or evidence of having passed the California Highway Patrol First-Aid examination.
Possession of a validMedical Certificate (MCSA 5876). Insurability by the District’s liability insurance carrier. Employees in thisclassification are subject to random drug testing as prescribed by Federal law Copies of all licenses andrequirements must be included with the completed application for employment.

Position Overview :
The Inventory Associate Driver is responsible for safely transporting team members to and from inventory events in a timely manner.
This role is responsible for adhering to traffic laws and WIS driver safety requirements, as well as conducting and completing vehicle inspections, maintenance, and daily cleaning.
The Inventory Associate - Driver is a critical team member at WIS, ensuring the safe transport of our associates while in turn, increasing customer satisfaction and meeting Company goals and objectives.

Essential Responsibilities :
- Pick up, drop off, and regularly drive rental vehicles and Company owned vehicles.
- Picks up employees from the designated meet sites on time.
- Picks up and transports additional or nearby employees in cases of short staffing.
- Safely and timely transports employees to and from inventory events, mapping out driving routes to ensure the most efficient or expedient trip.
- Fulfills miscellaneous tasks and errands to assist in meeting customer and company demands and needs; this may include running to get lunches for team members, picking up equipment needed for an event, managing shipping or pickups of equipment, etc.
- Proactively adjusts the driving plan to the most efficient and safe route, as needed.
- Completes required vehicle inspections and cleanings in accordance with Safety and Fleet policies.
- Works closely with District Managers, Area Managers and Inventory Supervisors to promptly escalate and communicate any safety concerns, vehicle issues, employee issues, policy violations, or customer concerns.
- Builds rapport and engages professionally with all team members and coworkers.
- Maintains vehicle cleanliness at all times.
- Schedules required vehicle maintenance and service appointments, ensuring they are completed timely.
- Assists with safety checks at event start up, including ladder safety inspections.
- May be asked to occasionally count at inventory events to assist in meeting customer demands and / or goals.

- Drivers are still expected to count in the inventory along with the other employees.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
- Must be at least 21 years old to be a qualified van driver and must be at least 18 years old to drive a personal vehicle for business needs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license within the state of residence for a minimum of 36 consecutive months.
- A minimum of three (3) years proven driving experience
- Must be willing to submit to a drug test and MVR check in accordance with company standards.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and how to navigate to assigned locations.
- Availability to work flexible schedules with varying hours in support of the District Manager and customer commitments, this includes very early mornings and / or late nights.
Working Conditions :
Ability to, with or without reasonable accommodation, drive an oversized or full-sized van, and frequently sit for extended periods of time.
Employee may be required to drive up to 6 hours continuously. Travel may occasionally include overnight stays.

What you’ll be doing :
- Managing all aspects of the warehouse, including : receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory audits to meet defined KPIs.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our supply chain including inbound, outbound to customer, measurement of service levels both to customers and within the supply chain.
- Plan, prioritize and balance daily fulfillment activities with special projects and product launches.
- Work closely with our software team to provide feedback and aid in development of internal inventory, order and warehouse management systems.
- Provide hind-sighting and identification of opportunities where we can improve service and expense ratios.
- Manage all aspects of inventory management, including audits and lot / expiration dates.
- Use, manage and maintain warehouse equipment and operations.
- Proactively identify problem areas and create process improvement initiatives geared towards improving safety, employee satisfaction, client satisfaction, quality, and productivity performance.
- Ensure that 3PL SLA Agreements with clients are being met.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for both Domestic and International fulfillment complexities including duties, taxes, currency, language, carriers and shipping methods, service levels, and expense impacts.
- Meet and exceed quality and fulfillment targets.
- Manage, grow and motivate warehouse staff.
- Ensure a safe work environment.
Must haves :
- 3-5+ years of experience working in operations, at a comparably-sized warehouse, or fulfillment at a management level
- Proficient in data analysis and Excel, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables
- Quick to adapt to new processes and technology
- Patience and ability to stay calm in times of volume
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and internal and external customers
- Proven track record of successfully hiring, training, and engaging workforce
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and help out as needed
