SCATTERED SITES, RELIABLE VEHICLE, VALID DRIVERS LICENSE, AND INSURANCE REQUIRED

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct all business in accordance with management and Association objectives and state and federal laws.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, elevator inspection logs, etc.
  • While on duty, all Janitorial staff must be reachable by phone / radio at all times.
  • Candidate must be able to lift and move 50lbs.
  • Assists Head Janitor by :
  • Perform all janitorial tasks and general cleaning.
  • Monitor and maintain all building interiors and exteriors.
  • Ensuring that all mechanical and maintenance rooms are clean, orderly and safe.
  • Assists in grounds work, keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
  • Maintain awareness of the physical condition of properties and immediately correct unsafe conditions or inform the Head Janitor.
  • Monitor security of all sites and report breaches to Head Janitor or Property Manager immediately.
  • Ensure building doors (front / back), gates, and unit doors function properly to open / close, and latch / lock correctly.
  • Report squatters, suspected squatters, or unauthorized occupants to Property Manager.
  • Performs janitorial tasks at the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor including :
  • Trash pick-up inside / outside building
  • Vacuuming
  • Mopping
  • Buffing floors
  • Window cleaning
  • Disinfecting
  • Dusting
  • Responsible for keeping the following critical areas neat and clean at all times :
  • Lobbies
  • Laundry rooms
  • Dumpster areas (changing compactors)
  • Grounds around buildings (front, back, sides)
  • Parking garage vestibules,
  • Storage rooms
  • In-unit cleaning when assigned (make MOVE-IN ready)
  • Trash-outs (remove all debris, furniture, and belongings left behind by vacating residents)
  • Snow removal (on-call 24 / 7 seasonally if necessary)
  • Landscaping (when assigned)
  • Provide backup janitorial coverage outside of your route when other personnel have time off.
