Westchester HR Student Assistant (NYC)
The Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition department. In addition to performing miscellaneous clerical duties, the Student Assistant will also be required to answer phones and greet visitors to the office, taking detailed messages for staff to follow up as necessary.
They will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned.
WORK-STUDY AND NON-WORK-STUDY STUDENTS ENCOURAGE TO APPLY Position Duties
- Greet and assist incoming visitors
- Administer onboarding paperwork to new hires
- Answer a wide variety of questions related to the department’s procedures and other general questions (training will be provided)
- General clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, shredding, sending faxes, and other duties as assigned
- Assist with a heavy volume of phones; taking detailed messages for staff follow-up as necessary
- Perform other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
Position Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and patient with visitors
- Office experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- WORK-STUDY AND NON-WORK-STUDY STUDENTS ENCOURAGE TO APPLY Work Hours Exact schedules are to be determined with the supervisor;
no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks.

Role Requirements :
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid CNA license in the state of New York.
