Job Summary
Greets and seats customers, receives payment and assists service personnel as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Functions
Greets and welcomes all customers immediately upon arrival and verifies number in their party. Determines special needs, e.
g., high chairs, special menus.
- Collects payment from customers immediately, in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquires about food / service satisfaction and handles customer complaints / suggestions appropriately.
- Seats customers at tables / booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant, and introduces feature of the day.
- Keeps hostess area stocked and clean, e.g., to-go items and bakery products.
- Handles incoming telephone calls immediately, and takes to go orders as appropriate.
- Maintains proper supply of clean menus.
- Periodically supplies customers with initial beverage suggestions and provides beverage order and refills.
- Assists service personnel in clearing and setting tables.
- Resolves complaints as he / she becomes aware of them, notifying the manager of any complaints received.
- Assists other service personnel as needed.
Accountabilities
- Customers are greeted and seated in the order in which they arrive in a pleasant and courteous manner following company timing standards.
- Guest check transactions are handled properly, such that register totals balance at the end of the shift.
Qualification Standards
- Must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations.
- Ability to communicate with guests.
- Reliable and flexible
- Team player
- Must have sufficient mobility to move and / or operate in work area.
- Must meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
- Minimum 6 months experience as host / hostess or cashier

Job Summary
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests, by welcoming and warmly greeting guests on arrival.
Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.
Activities & Responsibilities
Primary
o Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Art Houz Theaters
o Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
o Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.
o Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server’s name upon seating.
o Record guest names and the number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited.
o Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seating.

The Front Desk crewmembers set the stage for our guests' experience. They are the first and last impression to all of our guests and ultimately orchestrate the flow of the restaurant.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages with food.
- High school education.

- Carry all Guest drinks on a tray when showing Guests to their table.
- Ensure the transfer of guest checks from bartender and cocktail servers to dining room servers.
- Keep accurate account of table status throughout restaurant.
- Anticipate Guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Guests, however busy.
- Interact in courteous and professional manner with Guests, management and co-workers.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of and Guest restrooms.
- Guide the activities of the assigned assistants to ensure optimum service to Guests.
- Complete all closing reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to manager.
