Pay starts at $20.24 / hour
What you’ll do on a typical day :
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
- Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments
- Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time
What you need to succeed at XPO :
At a minimum, you’ll need :
- To be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, due to varying freight volumes
It’d be great if you also have :
- Dock / warehouse experience in the transportation industry
- Forklift experience in a freight / less-than-truckload environment
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
This job requires the ability to :
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally)
- Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including a pallet jack, forklift and by hand
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery
- Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary

Forklift Operator
We are currently looking for a
Forklift Operator for our Las Vegas
FL facility .
The Forklift Driver will be responsible for providing safe and conscientious support to the assigned warehouse and production areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
Maintain forklift driving certification for Single Forks, Double-Wide, Box-Clamp, Roll-Clamp, and Bale Clamp.
Conduct regular forklift inspections per required instruction list. Complete mandatory logs and documents.
Charge batteries and change propane cylinders.
Operate stretch wrap machine and understand the HU label process.
Monitor raw-materials, finished goods and waste products at all lines.
Deliver and Remove raw-materials, finished goods and waste products in a safe and timely manner.
Band parent rolls cores and put them in the correct recycling or customer return trailers.
Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
Other duties as assigned by supervisors
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
1+ Years’ experience working within a Forklift or Material Handler position.

Primary Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for the material handling of finished goods throughout the facility; including both warehouse and production inventory areas.
Performing the loading and unloading of goods from inbound and outbound carriers. In addition, the warehouse forklift position may be cross-trained in other production forklift functions to serve as reserve.
General Responsibilities :
- Complete daily forklift mechanical inspections (training provided); ensure that equipment is working properly and report any problems.
- Safely transport finished goods to inventory warehouse and follow proper stacking procedures.
- Load / unload coil, pallets and other material from flatbed and box trailers.
- Verify accuracy of inbound / outbound paperwork against actual shipped materials and, where applicable, enter information into computer systems.
- Prepare damage reports for cartons scrap or replace material following standard operating procedures.
- Follow pick lists and shipping invoices to prepare required number of units for shipment.
- Develop load configuration for outbound carriers and following standard operating procedures for safe placement of finished goods or other material.
- Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.
- Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
Measures of Effectiveness; including, but not limited to :
- Safety OSHA rate, compliance to regulations / policies, evidence of risk reduction, engagement in 8-Step Safety Process, near-miss reporting
- Quality Timely and accurate quality reporting, ability to recognize defects and implement corrective actions, storage of finished goods, cycle counting, delivery of outbound finished goods undamaged
- Productivity Accuracy of system input, accuracy of finished goods inventory, delivery of on-time and undamaged materials, load and unload productivity rates
- Communication Shift handoff and pick list preparation, conformance to loading procedures, teamwork, kaizen event participation.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred; knowledge and experience of machines in manufacturing environment, or similar
- Preferred; forklift certification or 2+ years’ experience in forklift operation
- Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
- Background check required

Job Overview :
Forklift Operators are responsible for loading and unloading impounded vehicles into the processing and storage lot.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Process impoundment paperwork and maintain compliance with all requirements to coordinate the loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Daily operations are to move all vehicles from the awning area to the designated area and make sure all vehicles are marked correctly prior to moving.
- Pull white hats to be shipped for the wrecker auction & pull brown or yellow hats and place them on the auction site.
- May assist in tire changes, jump-starting cars, pulling inventory, and relocating auctioned cars.
- All shifts must process all E&E vehicles.
- Removing visible valuables items from vehicles must be logged in, and make sure to inform clerks of stock or E&E number given to the vehicles to be updated in our system.
- Apply sand and / or dry sweep any oil, gas, or transmission spills.
- Maintain forklift equipment to ensure the proper functioning of equipment. Must check all fluids prior to your shift and fill fuel after your shift.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards and adhering to safety management standards.
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and previous forklift experience is preferred but not required, will train.
- Must be reliable and willing to work any shift when necessary, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
