The primary role of the demand planner is to develop a demand forecast. This position is a key driver in managing the customer and consumer demand signals to align commercial and supply chain activity.

This is a critical role in the S&OP process as order fulfillment and inventory plans rely on this information. The demand planner will work using the Blue Ridge planning system and data insights to improve forecast accuracy.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities :

  • Work with commercial teams to develop and manage depletion forecasts for the prescribed future horizon
  • Maintain forecasts and all demand planning data, and provide end user training to commercial teams where applicable
  • Lead monthly Demand Planning reviews, using all appropriate tools and data with Commercial and Supply Planning, to ensure the forecast is realistic and deliverable
  • Coordinate the execution of the forecast plan with Commercial and Customer Services teams, effectively managing any exceptions due to limited supply
  • Communicate ongoing forecast changes to stakeholders in the Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance organizations, and, where appropriate, Suppliers’ teams
  • Identify and report significant promotional activity; ensuring events and exceptions are reviewed with Commercial, Supply Planning and Customer Services in a timely fashion
