Position Summary :
Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Buyer / Planner for the Clinical Development and Supply group. This person will be responsible for purchasing components based on key inputs, including : Customer requirements from the Project Manager, production sequencing from the scheduling team and material components availability based on their own assessment and from the supply chain planner.
This person will also maintain the PO requisition program in JDE for CSS and Service POs, including obtaining vendor quotations and lead-times.
This is a full-time position : Monday Friday, 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM.

The Role
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships ensuring lead times are accurate and deadlines are met for Catalent supplier components
- Ensure that sufficient material is available to support production and distribution, while not procuring excessive inventory that will be prone to obsolescence
- Request’s specifications and quotes from suppliers based on departmental needs and Customer requirements for project related purchases
- Evaluate customer commodity specifications for accuracy and completeness and communicates specifications to vendors
- Requests required documentation from suppliers to properly receive purchased materials
- Ensure all required documents are provided to the receiving and inspection teams to onboard and release materials purchased by Catalent
- Update / maintain the Material Tracker (or other designated site), as necessary - includes vendor follow-up for items that do not arrive as scheduled, updated need by dates due to timeline revision, etc.
- Project timeline approval for procured materials
- Schedule vendor deliveries with the Dock
- Help resolve or escalate Accounts Payable and invoicing issues
- All other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelors degree is strongly preferred
- Requires 4 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with JDE or a similar Inventory Management System is preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, is required
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Experience with blueprints and technical documents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.

CONTRACT-TO-HIRE KCMO BUYER / PLANNER
Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Our Client is seeking a Buyer Planner to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently planning, purchasing and managing assigned supply points and / or product lines while maintaining high customer service levels.
You will work closely with supervisors to ensure all customer commitment dates are met and release purchase orders for production material as required.

The primary role of the demand planner is to develop a demand forecast. This position is a key driver in managing the customer and consumer demand signals to align commercial and supply chain activity.
This is a critical role in the S&OP process as order fulfillment and inventory plans rely on this information. The demand planner will work using the Blue Ridge planning system and data insights to improve forecast accuracy.

Job Responsibilities :
- Work with commercial teams to develop and manage depletion forecasts for the prescribed future horizon
- Maintain forecasts and all demand planning data, and provide end user training to commercial teams where applicable
- Lead monthly Demand Planning reviews, using all appropriate tools and data with Commercial and Supply Planning, to ensure the forecast is realistic and deliverable
- Coordinate the execution of the forecast plan with Commercial and Customer Services teams, effectively managing any exceptions due to limited supply
- Communicate ongoing forecast changes to stakeholders in the Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance organizations, and, where appropriate, Suppliers’ teams
- Identify and report significant promotional activity; ensuring events and exceptions are reviewed with Commercial, Supply Planning and Customer Services in a timely fashion
