What you'll do :
In the office you'll help develop detailed work planning documents, develop investigation strategies, prepare for field events, track samples from collection through analysis and reporting, review available site data to refine or update the conceptual site model, evaluate data to determine if remedial action objectives are being met and recommend optimizations, draft periodic and unique reports.
In the field you'll oversee and perform site investigations and support remediation activities. Plexus performs work nationwide and travel for field work will be required.
What you'll need :
- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental or civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- More than three years of experience related to the site investigations and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal, state, or other cleanup programs.
- Experience logging soil borings and installing groundwater monitoring wells.
- Understanding of conceptual site models and basic hydrologic concepts.
- Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving.
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Professional registration preferred.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.

Science writer
Role will include interviewing technical experts and working with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to develop visual content to help visualize narratives.
Candidate must have an ability to distill technical content into narratives of interest to the general public. Daily schedule will include writing compelling content for internal and external communications venues, including the firm website, intranet news site, monthly newsletter, and others.
Emphasis will be placed on the ability to write content along challenging timelines.
The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism specifically journalistic roles that include translating technical content into palatable prose.
A focus on science-based journalism is a plus, as is an interest in water issues.
This role is anticipated to grow with time as the firm’s communications initiatives grow. The firm offers a clear upward career path for this position.
The ideal candidate has :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, English, or related field
- Five to ten years of experience working in environmental and science-based journalistic roles developing content for a variety of applications, including web, social media, and print
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; writing samples will be evaluated, writing test may be administered
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with technical subject matter experts and clients to translate information into easily understood messages targeted to focused audiences
- Dynamic team collaboration skills working with writers, editors, graphic designers, and other communications professionals
- Proven background using MS Suite, with emphasis on Word and PowerPoint

The Environmental / Energy Manager primary duty and responsibility is to ensure operations adhere to the goals and policies of the Environmental Management System, the Installation Energy Plan, and other specified Sustainability requirements affecting this contract.
The Environmental / Energy Manager shall develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable development and examine the contract activities to establish where improvements can be made and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and energy policy.
REQUIREMENTS YOU POSSESS :

Main Purpose
Tradebe is looking for a field chemist who will be responsible for identifying, packaging and labeling of hazardous waste for transportation and disposal.
We are open to experienced and entry-level candidates. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in chemical classification, and have interest in growing in the environmental services industry.

- Proper classification, identification, packaging and labeling of hazardous waste for transportation and disposal
- Process regulatory paperwork to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and internal procedures
- Sample contents of containers
- Drive 26ft long box truck once CDL Class B License is obtained
- Other duties as assigned
The person
Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or other related science is preferred
- Candidates that have relevant experience in the field (non-degree) will be considered. Level I requires 0-1 years of experience, Level II requires 1-2 years of related experience, and the level III requires 2 or more years of related experience
- A basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste field is preferred
- Successful completion of OSHA / DOT Physical examination, Drug Screen, and Background check; a valid Driver's License (with a good driving record), are required
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator, is required
- The ability to obtain a Class B CDL license with Haz-mat endorsement within six months of hire
- Applicants with CDL licenses are preferred.
