- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Environmental Science, Life Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, Business Administration, Planning, plus six years of experience in a related field.
- Master's degree may substitute for experience up to two years.
- Related experience may substitute for education up to four years

None.

Responsibilities
The Environmental Analyst will be responsible for compliance with state and federal environmental program requirements including air quality, SPCC (spill prevention, control, and countermeasure), remediation and waste management.
This position involves evaluating the potential environmental risks associated with natural gas operations and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
This position applies practical job knowledge. Usually works independently under general supervision and requires the ability to influence others in the work area by explaining facts, policies, and practices.
The problems faced are difficult but generally not complex.
- Develop and implement environmental programs and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze air, water, and soil quality for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead spill reduction planning and manage spill cleanup.
- Manage SPCC (spill prevention, control, and countermeasure) and storm water permit planning and compliance.
- Assist with waste management and compliance.
- Interface with agency personnel during inspections, inquiries, and environmental events.
- Communicate environmental data and analysis to stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analyze data, identify emerging environmental issues and trends, and implement best practices.
- May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and / or support employees.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TRRC (Texas Railroad Commission), TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) and federal programs related to oil and gas production.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including regulatory requirements, trends, emerging issues and operating processes strongly preferred.
