About the role :

We are seeking qualified Electricians to work with our client at Bays Water Power Station. In this role you are responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems within the power station.

This position requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, systems, and equipment commonly used in power generation facilities.

You will perform maintenance, panel work, troubleshooting, and repair activities to minimize downtime and ensure the uninterrupted supply of electricity.

Requirements :

Power station and / or mine exp.

Trade Certificate in Electrical or equivalent

Have the highest regard for safety

White Card

Drivers Licence and reliable transport

How you will impact WestRock :

To wire equipment to NEC codes, and assemble pneumatics with quality workmanship, for machines built to WestRock’s high standards on the premises.

• Work safely, follow all safety practices
• Layout panels and mount components (from panel layout).
• Mount boxes, conduit, and transformers by using drills and taps.
• Size and mark wire (following schematic drawings).
• Assemble small sub-assemblies for electrical or mechanical.
• Mount air components and run pneumatic lines.
• I / O machines.
• Layout electrical and air components on a variety of machines.
• Blend rigid conduit to fit in a variety of equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and / or pneumatic problems on equipment.
• Promptness, follow work schedule.
• Cleanup of work area and shop as needed or directed.

What you need to succeed :

• Must have understanding knowledge of NEC codes, knowledge of AC / DC electricity, able to wire from schematics, troubleshoot hardwire, construct machinery panels.
• Must be able to run flexible and ridged conduit throughout machine, pull, mark, and terminate wire neatly, mount panels, cabinets, transformers, air valves, and run air lines.
• The individual must pass an entrance test for this position.
• The individual must pass the TPC test for this position or equivalent.

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join the team here at Sunergy! You will be working directly with experienced professionals.

You will be responsible for working with team leads and area managers, updating customer install records, communication between install crews, compiling and managing customers installation photos and documents and working with teams to hit KPI metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Complete all electrical work for system
• Maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade electrical systems
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to run crews with 4+ people
• Following the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Perform maintenance on the solar system as needed
• Prepare inventory for installs
• Project clean up

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Experience working as an Electrician
• Residential Solar Experience preferred
• Ability to work in heights and on roofs / ladders
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work in various weather conditions / extreme environments (hot attics, heat, wind, cold / icy weather, etc.)
• Ability to follow safety guidelines
