PeopleReady Skilled Trades is currently hiring experienced Electricians from helper to journeyman level for our commercial, multi-family, and industrial projects in the Miami area.

Responsibilities
- Review blueprints along with building code specifications to determine work details and procedures.
- Perform installation and maintenance of electrical systems of new construction and remodels.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
- Feed, pull and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
- Splice and terminate wire at junction points.
- Collaborate with general contractors and other construction professionals.
- Maintain safety practices at all times
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Other duties assigned
Competitive pay rate up to $17-$28 an hour depending on experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in the trade. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and kneel.
Tools of trade and the ability to bring them onsite. References to verify your professional skills and experience.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to) : Assists electrician with installations, repairs, fixtures, and with equipment related installations as needed.
Strips insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers. Tiles / screws wires to terminals for subsequent soldering.
Takes instruction and performs other various duties as instructed by Lead / Senior electrician. Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work site by hand or heavy motorized truck.
Work from ladders (100ft. max), scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Complete all work orders in a timely manner. Maintain and upkeep of all tools, vehicles, and equipment. Maintaining a clean and organized work area / wash parts.
Job Requirements : A valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
Must have job site experience, transportation, and able to work in different locations. COVID-19 Vaccination card. 100% Tobacco free (no vaping).

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
- Plans, coordinates & participates in the electrical maintenance & repair of streetlights and related equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical circuits, switches, relays, resistors, contactors, lighting, motors, generators, surge arrestors, breakers, fuses, PCL, control circuits, drives, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions.
- Must be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platform lifts.
- Performs routine bridge maintenance including, cleaning contacts, lamp replacement, limit switch, adjustment / replacement, and keeping the bridge electrical systems organized and properly working.
- Perform monthly Amperage and Megger Ohm reading on electrical motors. Maintains bridge street, navigational, traffic signal & advanced warning lighting.
- Operates various tools for the work (various manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-along, jackhammers, drills, ground rod drivers, hand lines, etc.).
- Performs scheduled maintenance of bridge components to ensure continuous bridge operations. Maintains span locks and traffic gates.
- Completes monthly maintenance logs and reports.
- Use of meters and other testing devices on secondary voltages up to Volts.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end and maintain weight restrictions for the bucket and derrick trucks as per the truck manufacturer.
- Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
- Work efficiently and effectively from heights.
- Must be able to lift, move and maneuver up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis, and up to 10 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing with supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be licensed as a Journeyman Electrician through the State of Florida.
- Previous experience with roadway lighting is preferred but not necessary.
Pre-Screen :
Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and / or MVR check.
License & Certifications :
- Must possess a valid Driver's license.
- Current CDL preferred or willing to receive valid CDL within 90 days of employment.
- Able to pass / obtain a DOT physical to obtain a DOT medical card.
Travel Requirements :
Must be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

Position Responsibilities :
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in with electrical systems and components, and healthcare facilities maintenance.
Knowledge and understanding of National Electrical Codes, state and local electrical codes / regulations pertaining to healthcare operations.
Advanced computer, program application, and low volt system skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to problem solve.
Progressive leadership skills.
Qualifications :
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver License with no more than 3 points. Journeyman Electrical License. Low Volt Cabling Certification preferred.
- High School graduate or equivalent. Journeyman accredited trade program. Advanced education in electrical, computer sciences, computer programming, low volt systems, cabling systems, or equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited trade or diploma programs
