THE OPPORTUNITY
The Service Driver (CDL Driver Class B) will be responsible for picking up and delivering service customers’ trucks.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Spends approximately 90% of time picking up and delivering service customers’ trucks.
- Helps the service advisors with moving incoming units to the ready line for service.
- Road tests units after repairs.
- Answers phones and updates customers to help with customer service when needed.
- Maintains a neat and orderly working area.
- Ensures properly handling of company tools
- Advises foreman of any issues in lot or with units on road test
- Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
- Becomes familiar with and complies with the company’s Health & Safety Manual.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Valid Class B Commercial Drivers’ License (H endorsement for transporting hazardous materials is a plus)
- Good driving record
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 kgs or 50 lbs on occasion.
- Must have the mobility to easily access and egress trucks
- Good customer service skills

Bus driver
Position Summary
Transport students to and from schools and to recreational activities or filed trips. May assist passengers in boarding or exiting.
Part time position approximately 30 hours per week from August through May and less than 30 hours perweek in the non school months.
Supervision Exercised
Supervised by the Education Administrator.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Drives bus safely to transport pupils over specified routes.
- Performs pre and post trip inspections.
- Attends required trainings.
- Maintains order among pupils during trip.
- Produces required documents in reporting issues or incidents.
- Complies with local traffic regulations.
- Reports delays or accidents.
- Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
- Inspects bus and checks gas, oil, and water levels.
- Cleans bus after each route.

- Knowledge of New Mexico State Motor Vehicle Code and Education Code applicable to the operation of vehicles transporting students.

- Knowledge of methods and techniques of basic vehicle preventative maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
Required :
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted (CDL) NM Commercial Driver’s License B with School Bus Endorsement.
Licensing Status
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Must successfully complete other training within 30 days to six (6) months (depending on training required) of hire date such as : CPR, First Aide, Confined Spaces, SCBA, Blood borne pathogens, Backflow and Prevention Certification, health and safety training.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outside work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
- Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
- Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke; diseases; cuts bruises, burns, common cold, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
- Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.

- Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locations

Job Summary
Supports the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse in providing delivery and warehouse services. Provides delivery of materials to customer sites or branch locations.
Provides for regular maintenance of vehicles and schedules DOT / state made mandated inspection visits. Maintains a clean vehicle, daily driver logs and daily vehicle inspection reports.
Completes truck summary, drivers log and other back detail daily. Loads and unloads material and provides exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Provides delivery of material to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs.
- Maintains delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitors maintenance and mileage data if required.
- Provides for regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, as appropriate.
- Schedules DOT / state mandated inspection visits, as required.
- Maintains daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets.
- Completes truck summary, driver’s log and other backup detail daily, pays truck expenses and updates appropriate records, as appropriate.
- Must be observant and adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations.
- Must have a full understanding of truck routes and may coordinate deliveries with our own trucks, assigned freight companies or other carriers based on special requests or the best way to ship material.
- Loads and unloads material at the branch and customer locations.
- May perform warehouse functions including, but not limited to, order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping, as needed.
Non-essential Functions
- Performs / assists with other duties / projects as assigned by supervisor / manager.
- May be responsible for conducting Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of their daily route.
- May check and pack material to be delivered.
- May maintain shipping equipment and keep work area clean and safe.
- May assist the City Desk and Will Call areas in providing customer service functions including, but not limited to, order entry, filling orders, processing returns, expediting, technical assistance, Will Call, and other functions, as needed.

Qualifications
- Two-years of work experience preferred.
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and good knowledge of electrical products / systems is preferred.
- Minimum of 21 years of age is required.
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles is required.
- Current medical certification is required.
- Clean driving record is essential.
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet. SAP software is a plus.

Driver
In this role you will work to provide a genuine experience to customers with professionalism, poise, and patience. A passion for cannabis coupled with a strong adherence to protocol and compliance are a must for this role.
The Driver will work to deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. This person will be responsible for reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Responsibilities include :
- Load the delivery van at the beginning of the day for deliveries that will happen throughout the day
- Interpret and execute state laws and regulations required when delivering medical cannabis
- Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks (changing tires, check and add fluids, etc)
- Manage documents associated with medical cannabis delivery, ensuring that proper documents are kept and manifests are returned completed and ready for filing
- Maintaining positive professional relationships with dispensary staff
- Timely and effective communication when issues arise while making deliveries
- Other duties as assigned
Salary
$15 - $20 USD per hour
Required Skills
- Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record (minor violations may be considered)
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Ability to communicate professionally in person to effectively explain all variations of cannabis products to guests, if necessary
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
Desired Skills
- Professional knowledge and working experience of cannabis products from a regulated retail or medical distribution center
- Computer skills working within a POS system as well as cash register and payment processing
