Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Truck Driver II to safely and securely deliver supplies and goods. You will be required to operate tractor trailer combination vehicles to deliver various items.

What you will do in this role :
- You will deliver supplies, mail, equipment, lab specimens, food, pharmacy, x-rays, recycle / shred, biohazard, oxygen and laundry.
- You will operate vehicles ranging from cars to trucks with weights of 80,000 pounds.
- You will use equipment to include a forklift, pallet jack, 2-wheel dollies and carts.
- You will be responsible for representing the company in a professional manner.
What you should have for this role :
- Current driver's license in state of residence
- Must possess the current state license as a Truck Driver II based upon state : (Missouri - Class A or B, Illinois Class A or B, Arkansas Class A or B, Oklahoma Class A or B, Kansas Class A or B), Louisiana Class A).
- 3-5 years of supply delivery experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Maintain a current Medical Examiner Certificate in order to operate a vehicle
- Minimum lifting requirement of 50 pounds
- Some delivery positions require many hours of walking on concrete floors

Van Driver
Local Work Release Facility is seeking to fill a full-time position as a Van Driver for the Baton Rouge area. Van Drivers are responsible for assisting in the daily transportation of offenders to and from their assigned worksites.
To be considered for this position, applicants must be at least 23 years of age with a valid Louisiana Driver’s License.
Applicants will also be required to pass a background and drug screen prior to being hired.
Driver Trainee
Overview
As a Driver Trainee, you will participate in the Driver Training Program while performing the duties of a Freight Handler on a regular basis.
To complete the program, you must complete 8 hours behind the wheel of a Company truck and 25 hours of yard training, while being observed / trained.
Yard training includes training on pre-trip inspections, proper use of Control, hooking / unhooking, and backing. Current Company Freight Handler associates are selected for the training program based on exceptional job performance and a desire to become a Driver.
Responsibilities Load and unload trailer, either individually or with assistance of dock workers, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment.
Perform frequent lifting, pulling, and carrying of freight. Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips and Submit a written Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) on the condition of the truck / trailer at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
When hazardous materials are present, check for proper preparation of shipping papers, check for agreement between information on shipping papers and markings and labeling on freight, ascertain that vehicle is properly placarded.
Drive truck to assigned destinations. Ensure that all shipping documentation (e.g., manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.
required to move with shipments is available for inspection, and that appropriate paperwork accompany shipment when delivered.
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers’ Log, records of roadside inspections, mileage records, and other records required by law.
