You will ensure that our products are delivered safely and on time. You will stock your truck with our products, drive to stores and warehouses and unload at locations where needed.
How you will contribute
You will :
- Ensure compliance with procedures and regular safety checks of your equipment (tractor, trailer, pallet jack, etc.) to ensure safety at all times
- Deliver products, load and unload products from your truck, and drive to and from our customers and back to the warehouse
What you will bring

- Clean CDL-Class A license or CDL-Class B if willing to qualify for a CDL-A in the near future
- Proven experience of safe driving behavior and no serious driving convictions in the last five years
- Basic understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation
- Able to use smart phones or tablets and ELD for logging positions and driving times
- Display flexibility toward daily changing routes and working times
- A great customer-oriented attitude, displaying our values to the customers you deliver goods to
- General understanding of vehicle mechanics to communicate problems in case of breakdowns and to perform basic repairs yourself
Work Schedule : Monday, Tuesday,Thursday, Friday Wednesday off / Overnight shift
Pay : $32.00 / hr
Non-Union
Experience : Preferably 1-3 years of driving experience / DSD experience preferred
Requirements : CDL A preferred

Delivery Driver
The Delivery Driver checks all products for accuracy against quality standards and delivers products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner while working as part of a team.
Support the restaurant by performing other workstation duties. Comply with Papa John’s uniform, appearance, and operations standards as defined in the Operations Manual, PIZZAcademy, Team Member Handbook, and with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
Responsibilities
Perform duties including pre-delivery vehicle preparation, learning the delivery area, checking orders for quality and accuracy, following proper delivery procedures;
providing quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers in person or by phone, and acting with a sense of urgency in everything they do.
Perform other assigned workstation duties including making quality products, preparing ingredients and taking orders.
Work as part of a team and assist each other by being on time for their shift, supporting other workstations during their shift and completing all closing duties, including cleaning, at the end of each shift.
Enhance the company’s image by complying with uniform and appearance standards. Contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork, energy and fun.
Accurately process order paperwork and payment transactions, execute cash management duties, and use the FOCUS System. Support sales efforts by suggestively selling to increase the check average when taking an order and distributing door hangers during every shift.
Protect the company’s assets by maintaining organized, safe, and clean work areas; comply with safety and security standards at all times.

Overall Expectations or Position Purpose :
The Driver Manager is responsible for communicating all pertinent freight information to drivers in a region of assigned responsibility.
Supervise and maintain equipment providing load capacity. Work directly with internal employees and manage expectations against operational capabilities.
Employ a strategic approach by problem solving and develop corrective actions to enhance operational performance.
Essential Duties :
- Responsible for the supervision and management of a fleet of drivers, to assure proper and timely loading and delivery of products to customers.
- Assurance of DOT compliance and administration of all reporting procedures and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for fleet efficiency including driver productivity, miles, legal HOS, operation, availability, customer service and pre-planning performance.
- Assist with development of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the driver workforce.
- Interaction with outside freight vendors and coordination of scheduling requirements.
- Build relationships, solve issues, and assist customers and drivers with their individual needs.
Job Requirements :
Operational Skills : This position requires an individual experienced in the movement of freight and driver relations. We are looking for a fundamentally solid performer who is consistently able to facilitate multiple projects and remain productive under pressure.
Management : This position requires experience in managing and coaching others. Troubleshooting any issues with a driver pick up or delivery to ensure proper freight delivery.
Analysis : Coordinating with operational staff in order to receive maximum productivity from drivers while operating within DOT, OSHA and other company safety departments.
Communication : This position requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers;
and the ability to confront and resolve performance or service issues with drivers and customers effectively.
Schedule : Will be required to work every other weekend. This position is subject to calls after hours in order to respond to needs.
This position also requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 2 years related experience.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Familiarization with DOT and OSHA rules and regulations is a plus.
- Fleet management experience.
- Strong analysis and decision-making skills.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Summary
A delivery driver is responsible to distribute products promptly to our customers. Drivers will transport, select and deliver products to designated customers as directed by immediate supervisor or Warehouse Manager.

Work Environment
This position drives a delivery vehicle, with outdoor exposure during the workday.
