Oklahoma Blood Institute is actively seeking qualified candidates for a rewarding temporary position that is responsible for delivering and retrieving processed and unprocessed blood, blood products, donor / patient samples, derivatives, equipment, and supplies to / from hospitals, mobile blood drives, centers, clinics, doctor's offices, and research facilities.
Considered applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license with zero points on their driving record .

Location : Oklahoma City, OK
Position Type : Temporary (3 month assignment)
Pay : $13.00 an hour plus shift differential and holiday pay
Days : Wednesday through Sunday
Hours : 8 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver license
- Driving record must have zero points with no moving violations or accidents within the last three years. A copy of driving record must be provided before being hired.
- Comfortable driving in all types of severe weather during all hours of the day and night
Special Restrictions :
- Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to walk 2-3 miles daily
Primary Responsibilities :
- Deliver, retrieve, distribute and transport Blood Products, samples, equipment, specimens, and supplies as necessary
- Process and prepare orders for distribution of blood and blood components as appropriate for customers
- Retrieve and secure products from assigned locations at closing (e.g. confirm all products are boxed and taken to main center;
check rotator for platelets that might not have been boxed; check empty boxes for other blood products)
- Required to be available for and to be able to respond to "on-call" as scheduled
- Coordinate with Satellites and Mobile Blood Drive for pickup of products
- Conduct minor maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment used for daily operation
- Perform quality control and maintenance equipment as appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

Courier - Laboratory Clinics
Description
Under general supervision, will be responsible for providing courier service for the OU Health
Essential Responsibilities :
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
- Operates hospital vehicle on an as needed basis according to hospital policy and procedure.
- Maintains vehicle records and assists with maintenance.
- Responsible for transporting files and / or specimens, billing information and reports between the different facilities.
- Responsible for obtaining proper documentation for specimens and files.
- Ensures specimens are transported according to specimen condition and requirements.
- Communicates with clients and providers regarding specimen requirements and transport.
- Uses computer system to obtain client information, specimen transport requirements and documents.
- Assists with preparing shipping containers, filling supply orders, maintaining inventory as well as handling basic client requests for assistance, information or products.
- Ensures proper specimen transport in the event of unusual environmental conditions or diverse delivery locations or conflicting multiple priorities.

Minimum Qualifications :
Education : None
Experience : Previous laboratory courier experience is preferred
License(s) / Certification(s) / Registration(s) Required : Current Driver License if specific position involves operating a vehicle.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of vehicle safety and skill required to maintain good driving record.
Good interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow employees and customers. Ability to maintain a professional attitude. Ability to use laboratory tools and computer.

Job Description
The Courier will :
- Operate on a routed schedule for pick up and / or delivery of materials within established timeframes
- Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
- Load and unload vans or automobiles
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
- Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with company regulations
- Light maintenance on equipment and coordinating when and what types of maintenance are required
- Use of automatic routing or location software, such as a GPS, provided by the company.
- Perform other errands as reasonably requested

EXPERIENCE
- Punctual, reliable, and exercises good judgment
- Ability to interact with clients as a responsible representative of the company
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
- Clean driving record

LabCorp seeking a Service Representative / Courier to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK.
In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.
The Medical Lab Courier is an extremely important part of Labcorp's daily routine. A Lab Courier must possess the ability to drive in and adapt to varying weather conditions, enter / exit a vehicle numerous times throughout the day to visit clients and obtain specimens, learn about and utilize new technological devices and applications, be a valuable and reliable asset to the Department / Team, have superior attendance, great time management, and possess excellent Customer Service skills.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years’ old
- Previous driver / courier experience is preferred
- Customer service experience is a plus

- Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
- Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner
- Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
- Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
- Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
- Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed
