Typically our couriers can earn anything between £16 - £18p / h (paid per parcel)

We've introduced Business Mileage Payment

We've changed our payment strategy to pay our new couriers daily from the moment they pick up their parcels, to their first delivery of the day, you will receive a payment towards your travel distance and time.

It's a total gamechanger. And that extra cash adds up to a much more lucrative earning opportunity for you.

We'll pay towards your mobile phone

We'll make a daily payment towards your smart phone and data; which should also help towards your device insurance too.

We'll pay competitively for each parcel you deliver or collect

You can realistically deliver between 16-25 parcels an hour depending on the area and your experience, for up to 6 days a week.

The more you deliver. The more you earn. Our couriers deliver parcels up to a maximum weight of 15kg and 50 x 30 x 30cm in size.

We'll give you freedom and flexibility

You can plan your own route or our handy app can do this for you. We offer the following options : Monday to Saturday (6 days) or for those looking for more flexibility Monday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday, Saturday only or casual couriers will deliver on various days when required.

We'll develop and support you

You get all the independence of being self-employed, plus the backing of our expert team and access to a Yodel representative, to answer any questions.

We deliver parcels for some of the biggest retailers around. So, there's no shortage of parcels to deliver. Plus, you'll be able to stay local and get to know the roads and customers.

You have two options when joining Yodel to either become a Fixed Courier or Casual Courier. Fixed couriers will be given a specific postcode area and this will be yours to own.

Casual couriers will be vetted and trained by our teams but will be called upon to cover vacant areas when required.

The life of a courier

Each day is what you make it. You can plan your own route, which will keep things fresh and interesting. And at each delivery or doorstep, use your mobile to scan parcels and make sure they're safely received by the customer, so there's no difficult technology for you to get to grips with.

What makes a great courier?

Delivery experience isn't necessary as long as you love driving.

You'll also need :

• Preferred vehicle is a large car or small van (up to 3.5 tonne)
• Confidence behind the wheel
• Great planning and organisation skills
• Relevant insurance (we can help you with this)
• A suitable mobile device, to download our Courier app which will help you prepare and plan your routes more easily, as well as allowing you to liaise directly with customers.
• To be friendly and enjoy getting to know your customers
• To handle your own tax returns (we can help you with this too).

About the role

CMAP Industries is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner servicing the lower Manhattan area. We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals who are inspired to work smart and work hard in a team environment.

As a Delivery Associate / Foot Courier, you will be the face of our company, delivering packages exclusively for Amazon.

It will be your job to consistently exceed customer expectations by making sure all orders are delivered with a smile, on time, safely, and to the right location.

Currently, we are looking to fill full-time (5 days) and part-time (2-3 days) foot courier positions in New York City.

Delivery Walker Associate Responsibilities :

Load hand trucks and deliver packages (up to 50 lbs) by foot in all weather conditions, efficiently, safely and punctually

Follow strict safety standards and practices throughout all delivery stages from package pickup, transport and delivery

Operate an electronic device / mobile phone for GPS and daily records of deliveries via the Amazon Flex app

Delivery Walker Associate Requirements :

Must be 18 years or older

Must be able to read and speak English, for safety reasons

Have a valid, non-expired State ID or Driver’s License (New York City cards are NOT acceptable)

Must be physically capable of moving boxes up to 50 lbs. and push a large hand cart throughout the streets on Manhattan, with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Summary :

The Ground Courier Messenger is responsible for escorting and delivering, on foot, shipments to and from customer locations primarily within the area known as the diamond or jewelry district of NYC.

This position functions in an armed environment. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink’s and its customers and in transit whether that be on foot or via armored vehicle.

Key Responsibilities :

• Delivers and picks up customer shipments and liability in coordination with Customer Service and other BGS locations.
• Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments including LVP and manual shipments are scanned properly.
• Maintains communication with ground support at origin and destination locations and maintains a secured position at all times to ensure the safety of the team, customers and customer shipments in their possession.
• Enforces and reports all security or safety violations to the Supervisor / Manager as well as any unusual and suspicious situations that have occurred during daily assignments
• Provide security by adhering to the General Security Regulations and other directives handed down by the management.
• Provides internal location security and works closely with other operational teams at the base of origin to ensure that all customer shipments, pick-ups and deliveries are made according to pre-arranged agreements.
• Must ensure that all related documentation that is part of the internal and external logistics process are completed and documented appropriately in accordance with all company policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service at all times and where necessary report customer service issues to operations leadership for resolution.
• Provide support to the vault, import, export and domestic sort.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a courier or guard
• A currently valid driver’s license
• A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
• Able to work weekends, holidays and / or extended hours
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications :
