You will join one of our offices around the world for 10 weeks, usually in the summer, to work in teams and directly with our clients.
In this role, you will help our clients in the private, public, and social sectors solve some their most pressing problems.
You will also work with a range of experts in the firm, from data scientists to researchers to software and app designers.
You’ll work in teams of typically 3 5 consultants, to identify, and oftentimes implement, potential solutions for a specific client problem or challenge.
Together, you will help clients make lasting improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals.
Over the course of each project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations.
You'll also present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.
Some examples of the specific work may include interviewing clients, leading client teams, building financial models, and working with McKinsey subject experts to develop perspectives and insights for the client.
Depending on your area of focus or client needs, you will be asked to travel to your client site.

At the end of your internship, you may receive an offer to join us as a full-time business analyst after the completion of your degree.

- Or in your senior / final year of undergraduate studies and planning to enter a one-year master’s program (in some geographies)
- Or currently completing your first year in a non-business, 2-year master’s program and have less than 2 years of work experience

Position Overview :
The Business Systems Analyst III supports CCNAs Supply Chain organization with specific focus on Third-Party partners and operations (copackers and warehouses).

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provides analytical solutions to complex business problems by mining data, conducting analysis, and generating actionable, relevant insights.
- Support the Retail Strategic Account Team’s data and analytics requests by gathering business requirements, sourcing and validating data, analyzing data, synthesizing insights, and presenting results.
- Leverage analytical tools and methodologies to recommend plans to drive sales growth, improve margins, and optimize inventory levels
- Analyze sales and inventory trends, research demand drivers, and develop data-driven recommendations to drive sales growth and improve profitability
- Develop and automate daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting and dashboards to monitor the business’ health and to share business insights with Sales, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders.
- Conduct and support analysis across multiple large-scale data sources (structured and unstructured) to identify and socialize key facts and insights.
- Collaborate with Retail Strategic Account Teams, Marketing, Finance, and Information Technology (IT) to understand business needs and identify key opportunities and challenges, particularly in defining analytical problem statements and building the fact basis needed to create recommendations.
- Partner with retail customers to leverage vendor reporting tools and data sources to support external customers and the internal sales team
- Partner with internal and external IT and Data / Analytics teams to develop immediate and long-term data analytics tools and infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Intelligence or a related quantitative discipline is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Intelligence-related, analytical role
- Experience in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization toolkits such as Qlik and / or Tableau
- Experience developing solutions using large volumes of data
- Experience supporting and analyzing the retail industry preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills is required.
- Ability to travel 10%
