We are seeking an engaging individual with a flair for hair care who will enjoy creating quality interactions inside local Sephora, and Ulta Beauty locations.
Our Beauty Brand Ambassador will use sales and demonstration strategies to promote our global client, Dyson(r), and their premier line of personal hair styling tools, including the Airwrap(tm) Styler, Supersonic(tm) Hair Dryer, and Corrale(tm) Straightener.
The Brand Ambassador is tasked with showcasing these haircare items to customers and demonstrating all the cutting-edge reasons why they are the best in the industry! In this role, you will assess your customers' hairstyling curiosities and preferences, answer their questions, and provide live demos of the products' innovative mechanical features that will improve their daily hair styling routines.
SCHEDULING :
- 16 - 24 hours per week
- Availability should be flexible and regular from Tuesday through Saturday
- Ability to drive to designated stores within assigned market area

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Travel to assigned retailers to drive store sales and achieve / exceed sales goals
- Establish positive professional connections with store leaders and associates
- Conduct demo presentations to individuals and groups of store staff and clients
- Exude passion for the Dyson Brand and display expert knowledge of the full range of technology
- Train the store personnel to communicate Dyson technology with confidence
- Keep updated about the latest products and ensure that all store locations are informed
- Take part in both initial and ongoing training sessions as well as team calls
- Maintain merchandising standards at shopfront
- Complete surveys with feedback and pictures after each shift
- Proactively engage customers throughout the sales process while striving to meet set sales goals / expectations
ARE YOU A MATCH?
- Sales, retail, product demo, or relevant customer relations experience
- Experience in hair styling and working at a salon is strongly preferred, including the ability to handle hair confidently, perform fundamental curling and straightening techniques, and apply hair products
- Knowledge of the Sephora and / or Ulta retail environment; prior relationships or experience in these stores is a plus
- Demonstrates aptitude for teaching in different settings, including individual and group contexts
- Valid or previous license in cosmetology preferred
- Must adhere to dress code / professional appearance standards and demeanor
- Access to reliable vehicle transportation to drive to locations throughout assigned territory
- Open availability to work Tuesdays through Saturdays
- Access to a smart device for reporting

Who we’re looking for :
Starry is seeking a Brand Ambassador on a per-diem basis who will act as the face of Starry at various marketing events around the city.
Our ideal candidate is a positive, self-starter who is confident, outgoing, personable and well-spoken. You’ll enjoy being in front of potential customers and sharing our brand mission while in the field.
You’ll understand and effectively communicate Starry’s offering and value proposition. Our Brand Ambassadors are needed at various times including weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Actual work schedules are flexible and can accommodate class schedules or other commitments. This position reports to the Subscription Acquisition Manager.
What you’ll do :
- Set up and take down multiple events a week
- Staff events and engage with potential customers about all things Starry
- Accompany Subscription Sales Representatives on door-to-door (D2D) activities
- Deliver, assemble and stock permanent placements at Starry properties
- Assist the Marketing Coordinator with event logistics
- Canvas / poster buildings and hang posters to generate awareness
- Track event activities using reporting tools as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-6 months experience in events, or customer facing role (internship acceptable)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively to potential customers, business stakeholders and team
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- This position requires a form of reliable transportation to get to and from different work locations. If you plan to drive your personal vehicle on behalf of Starry, you'll need to have a valid driver's license in the state of your residence and a safe driving record.

Pay range : $20.00 hourly with an opportunity for commission. Final hourly pay rate will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and training.
