Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
Under the direction of the beverage managers and supervisors, the bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to patrons and cocktail servers in accordance with established policy and procedures on an assigned shift.
- Exhibit all conduct in accordance with Golden Nugget policies and procedures, as well as all Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Responsible for knowing beverage brand selections, drink menus and drink recipes.
- Prepare, garnish and serve all beverages in accordance with established procedures.
- Responsible for checks issued to him / her and acts as a cashier in front and service bars.

Requirements :
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a bartender in a high volume lounge or restaurant environment.
- Casino bartender experience preferred.
- Active Responsible Server certification required.
- Professional bartender certification strongly preferred, coursework in mixology from an accredited institution highly desirable.
- Demonstrated successful performance in a guest service role.
- Experience servicing large numbers of guests in a public environment.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal communication skills are required.

- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week;
and hours start as early as 8 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.
