Work cleanly and safely. Handle hot beverages with care.
Follow all COVID-19 protocols and meet cleanliness standards.
Clean coffee grinder, brewer, and espresso machines.
Organize products on our shelves and restock as necessary
Actively identify any additional safety hazards and escalate to Cafe Leadership.
Complete opening and closing tasks and checklists.
Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly deep cleans of the cafe.
Proactively maintain and improve the appearance of the Cafe and coffee bar. Sanitize and clean the cafe area as needed throughout the shift.
Qualifications
People skills : Dealing with the public and team proactively, professionally, and positively.
Able to lift 40 lbs or more
Able to stand for long periods of time
Frequently required to use hands
Basic understanding of computer POS Systems

The Barista creates a great experience for our customers by providing quality beverages and products, quick service and providing a fun and memorable experience for our guests.
What you will do
- Greet all guests with a smile while taking food and drink orders, answering any questions, calling guests by name and thanking them for their order
- Provide and prepare quality beverages and food products consistently to all guests by adhering to recipe and presentation standards while also providing legendary service
- Stay calm during periods of high volume to keep the store operating properly and set a positive example for the team
- Operate a cash register and receive payment from guests, while following all brand and HMSHost customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
- Keep the store clean, stocked, organized and decorate customer display areas
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to enhance the culture, values and mission of the brand and HMSHost while following operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security

Position Summary
Provides excellent customer service by preparing and serving menu items. Creates the "WOW" experience for guests of Quest.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cascades the vision of Quest Food Management Services ensuring the Quest vision, values and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood and practiced.
- Demonstrates commitment to Quest vision, values and missions through actions on a daily basis.
- Report to scheduled shifts on time and in complete uniform.
- Provide efficient, friendly and prompt service to the students and staff.
- Inform manager of need for change in a timely manner.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and food items.
- Adhere to Company recipes and measurements.
- Present, explain and answer questions about coffee drink menu.
- Process transactions through the Point of Sale system and count back change to customers.
- Maintain supplies and inventory.
- Maintain high level of standards for all product preparation.
- Assist in overall sanitation and organization of line and surrounding areas.
- Maintain open, positive and effective communication with others.
- Perform closing responsibilities, storing and cleaning of all line items and restocking all areas assigned.
- Assist others in closing procedures if time permits.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients, guests and staff during events by using their names whenever possible and anticipating their needs.
- Follow all Quest policies and food safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements / Specifications
Education and Experience : The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Required :
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a cash handling position
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic as well as to understand measurements and conversions
- Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Handler certification)
