The Role :
Responsible for the maintenance, stocking and cleanliness of the bar, and all other functions which increase the efficiency and productivity of the bartending team.
The Venue :
This iconic House of Blues venue is located on the famous Las Vegas Strip inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This venue has a full-service restaurant, music hall, and nightclub.
It is a go-to spot for unparalled views of the strip
What you’ll do :
- Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions
- Follow Special Events guidelines to ensure event success
- Handle side duties including : stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, including lifting / moving up to 25lbs.
- Clean and assist with maintaining bar equipment
- Perform opening / running / closing side duties according to HOB policy
- Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
- Separate glass, cardboard, and plastics per local codes
- Operate trash compactor per procedures policy
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
- Ensure that trash containers are clean, free of odor and lined
- Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
- Par all ice bins to the fullest levels at all times
- Par all bars per venue specifications
- Wash and clean all bar glassware using proper cleaning supplies and techniques
- Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue

Barback -On Call
We are looking for an On-Call Casino Barback that will provide friendly and excellent service to every guest as well as keep the casino bar area clean and stocked at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of services to guest and cocktail servers by assisting bartender with their job functions.
- Knowledge of Beers, wines, liquors and non-alcoholic products including dry goods.
- Knowledge of tapping and removing beer kegs.
- Knowledge of SNHD protocol.
- Communicate effectively with management for any product missing or out of date.
- Collaborate with management team and bartenders to perform regular inventories, ascertain par levels for items and compile weekly orders.
- Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the bar tops, bar wells, floors, coolers and related job storage.
- Maintains par stock levels during and before end of shift.
- Process all requisition from beverage vendors and / or any warehouse confirming all items were properly ordered and received.

Recommended Casino Barback experience but not required.

Position Summary :
The barback is responsible for stocking / restocking all bar supplies while maintaining an organized bar area.
Job Duties :
- Properly sets-up the bar stations, prepares and restocks garnishes, as directed by management.
- Performs side-work and other opening / closing procedures.
- Assists with bussing any dishes from the bar top.
- Responsible for keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintaining par levels.

POSITION DESCRIPTION POSTION : BUS ATTENDANT / BARBACK FLSA DESIGNATION : NON-EXEMPT POSITION REPORTS TO : RESTAURANT MANAGER POSITION PURPOSE : The Bus Attendant / Barback's responsibilities include assisting Servers or Bartenders in steps of guest service, resets tables in a speedy, professional and effective manner.
Interacts with the restaurant guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES : Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests. Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the tables.
Deliver, fill, re-fill water, as requested by guests and / or directed by servers. Clears and resets tables, cleans table area, including banquettes, during service.
Helps ensure guest satisfaction through active participation in service. Maintain general cleanliness of stations and entire venue.
Properly sets-up floor and side stations, performs side-work and other opening / closing procedures as directed by management, including : Responsible for making sure all tables and chairs / banquettes are clean and free of debris Sets tables with proper settings Wipes down chairs, tables and banquettes Stocks side-stations with prescribed supplies Performs opening side-work as prescribed Performs closing side-work as prescribed Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
