WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Design Project Manager, Aviation for our Reno, NV office. Be involved in projects with our Aviation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Our Aviation Team provides project / construction management, engineering and planning services for airports infrastructure including all aspects of aviation facilities and supports WSP's projects around the world.

The Aviation Team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments.

The Senior Design Project Manager, Aviation will be responsible for the development of business and successful execution of work for current and potential clients within a defined geography of the Aviation Market.

The person will be accountable for overall long-term growth in his / her defined geography commensurate with the long-term growth plan for the company in terms of the Aviation Market.

While the focus for this Senior Design Project Manager, Aviation will be aviation design opportunities and the execution and project management of design projects, he / she will be responsible for the marketing across all phases of service of the Aviation Market.

Your Impact

Financial / Operations

• Assists with the establishment and continued development of the strategic plan for attaining long-term geography goals including assisting Aviation Core Management, and Regional Manager(s) in acquisition needs and other corporate actions to support strategy.
• Assists Aviation Core Management, Regional Manager(s), AM(s), and Geography Business Development Leader(s) in preparing marketing budgets for the geography in terms of Aviation Market.
• Implements client relationship efforts within approved budget such as activities that lead to a broad understanding of a specific client’s upcoming capital program and named opportunities.
• Responsible for determining staffing needs or additional strategic / production hires within his / her defined geography.

Responsible for technical development of staff and succession development as appropriate.

Monitors and assures staff scheduling with appropriate production staff for project needs under his / her responsibility.

Works with Aviation Core Management, Regional Manager(s), AM(s), and Geography staff manager(s) to facilitate sharing of staff and workload distribution.

Marketing

• Works with Aviation Core Management, Regional Manager(s), AM(s), and Geography Business Development Leader(s) to identify and capitalize upon opportunities within the geographic marketplace.
• Assists with the preparation of an annual update to client-focus tactical action plans for identified clients within geographic marketplace.
• Cross-markets other WSP capabilities as appropriate.

Sales

• Assists in establishing geographic, aviation market goals commensurate with company goals for the Aviation Market.
• Establishes sales goals by client and prospect within the geography.
• Assists Aviation Core Management, Regional Manager(s), AM(s), and Geography Business Development Leader(s) in making Go / No Go decisions.
• Leads proposal and interview preparations, as appropriate.
• Leads client relationship efforts for major client(s) identified within geography, as appropriate.

Technical

• Technically competent to successfully perform on and deliver projects identified for pursuit in the Aviation Market, specifically for design, construction management and planning phases of service.
• Possess managerial and communication skills commensurate with needs of projects and relative to marketing, sales, and operational responsibilities defined herein.
• Skilled in managing project execution within scope, budget and schedule.
• Skilled in preparing scope for project, reviewing contract requirements of project, and developing appropriate budget / schedule for said project.
• Capable of working with other offices and other WSP staff to develop technical skills and experience of others.
• Skilled in initiating, organizing, and overseeing the preparation of asset management planning efforts.
• Capable of working with other WSP staff related to construction engineering efforts across WSP markets.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field.
• Professional licensure, preferably licensed in the state(s) in which his / her geography lies.
• a minimum of 15 years of project management experience, ideally within the aviation industry.
• A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in engineering, construction management, and / or aviation.
• The applicant must have a thorough understanding of the market and business development aspects of the geography and Aviation Market.
• The applicant must have experience in marketing and supervision of technical work performed by others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• 15 years of aviation project management experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Responsible for safe operation of the G450 aircraft.
• Responsible for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with, but not limited to the following items : Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft.

The conduct of a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual. A complete check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.

Ensure the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft and crew.Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED

• Total time 3000 hours
• PIC 1500 hours
• MEL 1500 hours
• MEL PIC 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet 500 hours
• Instrument 250 hours

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

• Type rated on G450or comparable aircraft
• First class medical required.
• Must be able to work on an on-call basis
• Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
• Primary residence within a 2 hour drive from KLASor willing to relocate.

Summary :

Maintenance Technicians are FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) who perform direct maintenance in accordance with Allegiant Air Continuous Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP).

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Technicians working on aircraft, components or related parts of aircraft are responsible to perform work outlined on applicable work forms in accordance with airlines policies and procedures, manufacturer’s manuals and FAA requirements.
• Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, power plants, aircraft communication, navigation equipment, and associated components in accordance with airlines manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, bulletins, and orders.
• Ensure that the appropriate tag is attached to all parts removed from an aircraft in accordance with Airlines policy.
• The Technician, in performing his or her duties is required to be constantly alert for defective, worn or failed parts as well as safe working conditions.
• Proper execution of an Airworthiness Release. Responsible to sign for the accomplishment of work on applicable work forms and records.
• A Technician, when qualified, may be required to perform the duties of Inspector in accordance with the Inspector job classification as described in the manual.
• Responsible to keep the work area in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
• Will be assigned to such housekeeping duties as policing his or her work and / or repair area as well as maintenance of company property.
• Process all necessary paperwork as mandated by regulation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Education : High School Diploma / GED
• Valid Airframe & Powerplant Certification (A&P)
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in aircraft maintenance for Part 121 environments.
• Must have 2-3 years of recent line maintenance experience, specifically on A320 aircraft
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Aviation Technician is to ensure that timely and appropriate maintenance is provided for the assigned aircraft, to ensure safe operations and compliance with all FAA and aviation industry requirements.

This includes all manufacturer-mandated repairs, as well as calendar and hourly maintenance needs. Ability to keep aircraft and work areas at the highest standards possible.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Aviation, LLC policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Well versed in all facets of maintenance, from dealing with vendors and manufacturers, to documentation and installation of parts.

Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short-term and long-term profitability objectives.

• Ensure compliances with all FAA, manufacturer, and aviation maintenance requirements.
• Launch and recover assigned aircrafts.
• Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core services standards and brand attributes.
• Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and clear any discrepancies found during the course of an inspection.
• Perform maintenance and inspections in accordance with manufacturers approved methods and current FARS rules.
• Keep abreast of and maintain a current working knowledge of the procedures, parts and tools needed to perform maintenance and repair work on the company aircraft.
• Be responsible for the strict adherence to the inspection system employed for assigned aircraft.
• Supervise refueling and checking of fuel and lubricants.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be in possession of a valid A&P Mechanic license or qualified to take the required exams.
• Able to obtain a valid passport.
• Able to obtain a security badge at Harry Reid International Airport.
• Boeing / Airbus heavy line maintenance preferred, but not required.GIV, GV / G550, 737, 747, 767, A320, A340 experience a plus.
• Ability to perform maintenance duties away from base with limited resources.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods including international destinations, without restrictions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Specific Duties

In this position, you will be responsible for :

• Developing detailed mission analysis and integrating resources to determine capabilities to meet the JCER mission;
• Making recommendations to service or joint tactics, weapon schools, or publications based on findings of JCER evaluations;
• Analyzing threat data and controlling receipt and dissemination of foreign intelligence information;
• Evaluating emerging EMSO threats in order to present findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on evaluation results;
• Conducting tactical, operational, and strategic level research concerning the impact of existing and emerging EMSO threats to joint operations;

Qualifications :

• Twelve (12) plus years of Operational level experience with preference to candidates with higher level broadening assignments such as Joint, CCMD and Service level staff;
• Understanding of current service capabilities to include communication / tactical data links and tactics with knowledge of vulnerabilities in the presence of threat EMSO
• Experience conducting studies, performing research, reporting, and making recommendations concerning instrumentation and evaluation resources necessary to execute risk reduction and evaluation events ensuring the coordination of communications, logistics, materiel, data collection and personnel training, issue and alternative definitions, and personnel requirements for each designated activity;

Desired Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or higher with more than fifteen (15) years in Naval Aviation desired
• Preferably expertise specializing in fighter / attack combat aircraft; however, experience in other armed aviation platforms is acceptable;
• Preferably experience working with partnering agencies that share interests in support of data collection, reduction, or JEMSO operations in conjunction with JCER evaluations;
• Training and certification as a PMP are highly recommended for individuals lacking requisite military leadership experience.
